The catching isn't actually caused by the magnet rods catching (even though you can make them catch if you have the cube really loose and manage to push a corner into the core, but woth usable tensions it will not happen) the tracks have sone design issues that allow the edge feet to jump out of the tracks and they will need to jump around the onther edge track to get back into a position where they can still turn creating a noticeable catch.

You may be right! I haven't done any extensive testing on why it actually catches. It will be interesting to see if GAN can come up with any solutions in the future. Maybe they're avoiding the ball core because they want to keep the weight low - it's been a big thing for them for years. But I wouldn't be surprised if they can fix the catching issues, or at least make them better, by only changing the design of the pieces.

I mean when you blinfold a cuber, and they are supposed to geuss what cube it is based on sound, and they think it's something else, and then it explodes, and then they immediately go "oh that's a gan 14" yeah, they messed up.

What cube do you recomend for me? I I want the best. I thought it was the Gan 14 pro, because it was the most expensive, but now I see that is not the case. What is the best cube, regardless of price?

i cannot make up my mind should i buy this cube or the gan 12 or the weilong v9 (i turn aggressive)

I have them. I’m not very fast (22), they are both awesome tbh. I prefer the Gan cause it’s bigger, I have broke my Gan 12 core once though. Likely from an entire hairball somehow getting inside it.

Get the Wrm v9 since moyu cubes suits more turning style

I agree with @Musee69, I think the WRM v9 will suit your turning style better. If you like controllable more then fast, then I would go for the special edition that has a spring swap instead of Maglev.

It catches because you have a rough turning style. For example world class cuber Matty Hirot Inaba does not catch often and gets great results using it

I'm not trying to say you can't get good times with this cube. You absolutely can. But it's still a big fault of the cube that has to be mentioned in a review. Just because it's possible for a pro to ride a unicyle, it doesn't mean that the average person should go out and buy one. A bicycle is objectively better for most people. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Matty would also get great results with a lot of other cubes as well. With that said, you should use the cube that works best for you. But I stand by my words and this is not a cube I would personally recommend, especially at this price point. //Viktor
