This one really spoke to me. Especially Keven saying he doesn't want to live the "what if" life. Out of college, I bowled a PBA regional (in the late 90's or early 2000's), and I got my butt handed to me. That immediately made me feel like I should just be a league bowler. I spent the next 20+ years just bowling leagues. After Covid, I wanted to take a chance to see what I could do. I started practicing more, working on my game, entering more local tournaments, and ultimately giving PBA Regionals a go. Last year was my first run at regionals after more than 20 years, and while I didn't cash in four events, I faired okay and learned a lot. I kept working on those things I learned, improved, and at 49, I cashed in the first regional of the year just last weekend. I probably won't be a national tour member or household name, but I will keep working and maybe make some stepladders and possibly get a regional win at some point. And, if after a couple years it doesn't pan out, then I know. At least I tried, and I gained experiences I really wanted to have.

I was at Delaware and sat behind Boog for most of qualifying. He bowled crazy good and Kevin, your match- back to back 7-10s was very exciting and could have went either way. Packys 290 , which put him in contention was something to watch. Watching Boog loft it to the arrows and still strike was quite impressive. Looking forward to Delaware again next year.

I love the fact that the whole car was title winners. Yet all three are still hungry and want to get better and better! Plus all are confident. Good luck to all of y’all… and Boog absolutely *is* the best now.

How prophetic to watch an interview with Boog, talking about his future on Tour, just days before his wins his first title. Everything discussed literally came to fruition. Absolutely love this!

Thanks guys, I really needed to hear a lot of the mental things. I didn’t know I needed it until you said it and it resonated so hard, it brought the wave over me. Keep it up, someone else needs this too.

Watching this really motivates me to push my self a little harder in the game of bowling. The way you guys described certain points and topics really made me understand a way to look at bowling in a different light. Especially for bowling regionals. Bowling a non champs in Houston next month and hopefully I can just do my best make the first cut. Loved the part where you guys talked about "If im not striking, im ball changing". Which is something I fell like I haven't experimented with as well as making big risky moves.

Great segment guys! It was very informative to give us a glimpse into what it takes and how it is being on tour. This should be called 'Real talk with Packy and Kev " having Boog as a guest was cool, but also made sense since you all were in the same car. 😊

Belmo's comment about not cheating the game...in the end its not about score, not about titles, not about money. Its about pursuing the art of bowling. 63 and chasing it hard. Keep rollin boys!

So happy for Boog, he deserves it as he gave 1000% in Delaware. BTW - how is his back doing? It seems like he is having mad back issues.

I like these videos, they are a great source of opinion and insight. Keven, please when you ask a question to your guest let them lead the answer, don't ask it and then provide an answer for them to choose, please!!

Guys I have a question, this might sound dumb but something that you guys do makes no sense to me unless you are in the finals. When you are qualifying and getting ready to move to your next pair, what is the purpose of throwing a different ball on a fill ball? What is this going to tell you about the pair you are moving to? To me it's illogical, is there a reason people do this?
@RB-pc7tg
@RB-pc7tg 3 ай бұрын
It would be to see if it’s time to get out of urethane, but you can also watch other bowlers around you. When your already in reactive, you change anytime your ball isn’t doing the right thing. A lot of the times it’s not in the fill. You always see it in the fill on TV cause they aren’t moving pairs.
@ripvanrevs

Comparing ball reaction to what they are throwing so if they have to make a switch, they can better guess where to throw the new ball from.

Horrible advice! Instead you should hate your competitors, disavow your family, cheat, eat unhealthy, hide competitors' balls and ignore tour reps. Oh and spend a lot of time in the arcade. Practice shmactice

When Boog throws when he has the ball return in his way, the way he ends after throwing the ball reminds me of Mario throwing a fireball.
