Clay's mom was the hero in this. What a wise and intelligent woman. He obviously took after his dad. I think it's so unbelievably cruel to go through all the steps of the wedding and say no at the altar. I 100% believe he knew he was going to do that too.

Clay just wasn't attracted to her... at all. AD helped Clay by saying to him she doesn't think they can date if he decides to not marry her because the truth is he wasnt going to stay with her after the show even if they decided to start dating. The amount of times he brought up how hos father cheated sounded like a subliminal message to say he was gonna cheat on her. But also, why go on a show to find love and get married when you haven't done the work to heal from childhood trauma?!

No I don’t think he used her . I think that Clay will never be ready for marriage until he deals with the generational trauma of seeing things he should not have as a child …. His Dad s infidelity has scared him and his conversation bought nothing to the table … Clay does not know what a marriage is or know the real value of a woman. As far as AD she keeps failing at relationships because she doesn’t value herself enough…. Her body has always gotten her the man but not keep the man because you have to bring something more to the table. If AD does not stop focusing solely on her exterior she is going to keep getting the same results. She is trying to convince him with everything she has but she missed that when he wondered what she looked like. He SCANNED when he saw her and his face said it all, Women today totally focus on the BBL and whatever else they can get and they believe the exterior will keep a man and most times it doesn’t. If she works on letting her inner glow like that beautiful skin of hers she will catch the right guy.
