With nudibranchs that eat the aiptasia, it’s more like a never ending campaign against a badly beaten enemy, just a matter of staying on top of things. Likely the aiptasia won’t reproduce quickly enough to support all 5 of them if they’re still all there, but 2-3 or whatever will end up being long term residents and while he won’t really see or care about aiptasia, it will keep kicking around for quite a while . If it does fully get beaten, then nudis will die too and then it’ll be a matter of time before some other addition tracks more in, rinse and repeat

IIRC I feel like on your short about getting the previous lettuce slug (? I think it was called that), a BUNCH of informed people outlined a number of reasons they were gonna die… so the reasons probably aren’t THAT “unknown.” It would have been good to see you acknowledge your possible role in their loss, as it might prevent others from doing the same thing.
@ethernetgirl20012 ай бұрын
sadly we know he wont
@krietor2 ай бұрын
I think that by enumerating several possible causes - " . . . or even torn up by one of the pumps I have." he acknowledged his potential culpability regarding the disappearance of the previous contingent of slugs. Why must you adopt such a critical stance? A marine tank thrives only when its curator can induce a delicate ecological balance. Perhaps the lettuce slugs were unfortunate victims, whose demise made possible the survival of the community writ large. Maybe they were et by one or more of their neighbors in the tank. Maybe they still live, having escaped by some unknown route, or were killed inadvertently by the mechanical infrastructure. OP admitted freely that he doesn't know what killed them, and the word he used was "unknown ." He never even said it wasn't his fault. Why do you feel he should take responsibility when he may not actually be at fault? If you weren't present to witness the event, you don't know any better than OP what really occurred. My take on this is that YOU ought to have remained silent, despite potentially being perceived as a fool. Your cavalier accusation has removed any doubt. 😂👉🤡 😂👉 @ethernetgirl2001, @Feverm00n

Sadly, Berghia nudibranchs are realistically the only true nudibranchs you can keep in an aquarium. Individual nudibranch species are highly specialized in what they prey on, with the prey typically being inaccessible in the hobby or unknown to science. This means that most nudibranchs starve to death in aquaria. There are also a few other sea slugs in the hobby that are not classified as nudibranchs, but these are also specialized feeders. Even though Berghia nudibranchs only consume Aiptasia anemones and nothing else, these anemones are common enough and reproduce fast enough that you can maintain a breeding population of Berghia nudibranchs in captivity.
@maya_void39233 ай бұрын
But he made them die, it's awful he doesn't care about their life
@hypanusamericanus90583 ай бұрын
@@maya_void3923 Those lettuce sea slugs aren’t true nudibranchs, but I digress. My guess is that they may have starved, which is normally what happens to them after they deplete the algae in their tank. I remember in previous videos that this KZfaqr was aware of this risk. I don’t think this KZfaqr is heartless, but it’s sad that the lives of certain organisms, especially invertebrates, are not valued very highly. I do admit that hundreds of bristleworms, amphipods, and micro brittle stars die every time I prune and remove macroalgae from my own tank, but I can’t really stop that from happening.

I have a feeling that endure on more than just fists and vow of the indomitable on a shield will probably become popular picks given how a lot of this stuff that’s been added have long windups and frame traps. Given how fast the light greatsword seems I wonder if it has good running attack speed on top of that, and if it gets some polearm ashes of war I imagine it could possibly rival the current meta weapons for chasedowns such as all the thrusting swords and polearms. It makes me wonder how much poise damage and stamina damage all these weapons do because I get the impression that after a week turtling will become more popular than ever if none of these new weapons rival current guard breaking weapons. There has to be some sort of downside to how insane the speed on all these weapons attacks are. We haven’t seen too much new shields but im sure there will be new ones people will come to love (and despise). I have a good feeling that the duelling shields’ bread and butter will be guard counters, especially if it’s a thrusting attack. And speaking of guard counters, the throwing dagger actually takes a step backwards with its guard counter which could be a useful evasion tech when under pressure.
