Thanks for pushing the limits of the mavic 3 ! That info is very assuring. 5 miles. Unfricking believable. I don't think I will be sending my cine out that far. This video reminded me of the first time I sent my phantom out. The original phantom.... go pro hanging underneath. Push record, send it, and hope you got something worth looking at. I sent it out ooover half a mile and lost sight of it. I had a bad habit of yawing some when I would gain height. Anyway.... I pulled backwards on the stick hoping it would just back track. After a few minutes still no sign of the dawn thing.... I'm freaking... I got my brand new $800 drone and $300 gopro both MIA somewhere out there. In panic mode, ikilled the power to the controller. I watched for another couple of minutes utes. Nothing.. I jump in the truck and go on rescue mission. I looked all over my pastures with no luck. It was getting dark so I thought I might see the lights. Not a sign anywhere. Called off the search and wrote the whole thing off as a complete loss. It's dark. I get home, go out to get my controller and see flashing lights. The darn thing made it home all by itself!! It crashed into the porch rail on the way down. I downloaded the footage and was shocked to see that instead of it coming home when I was pulling back, it Haddon a 180 and was going further away. It went about a mile out, lost signal and was headed home. The dawn thing was almost home when I took off after it. The video showed me getting in the truck and driving off ....lol. I still have that somewhere. My friends couldn't believe it. True story. Man, the technology has improved a million times over from that first bird..keep flying!

Damn that thing is fast! My mini 2 max speed is about 32 MPH on sport mode. Hope to upgrade eventually. Insane range as well.

Trust me, with favourable winds you can do 10km and back. Always check winds before flying at any serious range. I tend to flick it into ATTI and ride the tailwinds back.

In your experience for range and scouting fishing spots do I do the mini 3 pro or mavic 3? Just traveling far distances along beaches/from our boat.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,,,Once you disconnected ,,the drone had to find you,, the fact that you was five miles from any signal at all,,, it took a minute for the ping to come back to the Drone once it sent it out... As long as you got that homepoint set,,, she's coming back to you.... Now her making it,,, can be questioned at times depending on the weather conditions... My attention was on that drift the whole way out,,, ive seen that go wrong before... think dudes drone is still in the ocean last I heard... Great Flight Philly!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I don’t use the RC Pro anymore. I always fly with the RCN1 remote and my iPad mini 5. Good job dealing with the freezing problems with the Real Crap Pro remote. Love your videos. Thinking about upgrading my iPad Mini to the new IPad

You made a deal.No more full send of the Mavic 3.. It costs to much to put it at risk again But it was AMAZING to say the least.

What rc were you using?

Wow! Over three minutes with out a signal...nail biter!! What I learned was around 18K feet (3.4 miles) is the reasonable distance to ensure you maintain a signal. Going forward I think the Auto Evo Lite + could be the distance winner while maintaining a remote control video connection.

Going faster doesn't necessarily cover more distance over battery life. It's different for every drone. I usually test different throttle level / speed to see what gives longest battery life and what gives most total distance. I see alot of dji guys get worried to come back and go full throttle. Guess that why now dji added that message.
