I’m so happy to have grown up when I did. If knowing what a VCR is and what MTV was makes me old then call me grandpa. Wouldn’t trade my childhood for anything. You could use the black twist ties that hold action figures in as cables for the game system to the TV. 👍👍

Fantastic review! I'm still trying to locate this set, just for that TV. I saw someone wants to cram a raspberry pi and mini screen in the tv if it was hollow. Good to see it is! I swear, if a toy company just started making 1980s/90s based general items like game systems, tvs, all kinds of various items for dioramas and what not, I'd mail them my wallet.

This is a accessory pack that I have to have and the truth is that AliExpress is the only good option we have right now with a more affordable price than eBay or Mercari. Awesome review 😺👍

Great review! I had to explain to my daughter what the VCR was 😢. I’ve been daydreaming about fitting a tiny arduino tv in that tv, but not sure I have the skills! It’s a pricy set, but there’s no way I was skipping those toddler turtles! I guess I’ll just have a box of some extras lying around now…

I don't collect the toon line so I only want this for the babies LOL. Space Don i think maybe they went with a brighter green so its easier to see him through the space helm maybe? Did you grab any of the other stuff? Man Ray? Zog? Jagwar? They're AMAZING figures especially Zog!

I honestly thought that Big Macc would get his own box like Metalhead, Krang’s Android body, MuckMan, and Usagi, and the baby turtles would be added to it. Or that Big Macc would be in a 2 pack with Rex 1. I really want this set. I’m not gonna pay $150 on eBay for this.

For "connecting" the TV and 'Nintendo', you could use a small bit of those colored cable that you will find inside of most regular cables. I have forgotten what they are called, but they come in different colours, eg Brown for ground. More common colors are blue and red. -They do come in their own separate boxes, but as I said, you will find them in most thicker cables. The benefits of those is that they have their own wiring in them, so they are kind of flexible, but still robust.

I definitely prefer it. These are matte like the first wave from NECA. I have the Turtles in Disguise which are dark, but semi gloss. Then, of course, the bright set they made. I would like the 4 shade variants we see on the box for each character

12:24 The bright green ones are to represent the style guide colours, so all the dark green ones are totally for the cartoon...even though they weren't always _that_ dark. So does that mean we'll get some _in-between green_ colour scheme Turtles at some point 🤔. As for Space Donnie, I think they're goin' for a _'What-If in Archie comics'_ style look, so that'd explain the brighter green. But I don't know, I'm only a dumb-dumb obsessive collector of the line.

The dark green was their original color in the cartoon, the bright green was for advertisement

Yeah! And then the 4 color differences between each turtle which seemed to be more of a Playmates thing

@@NostalgiaUnboxed True. They also did that for the 2003 series, each turtle was a different shade of green rather then being the same. Leo was leaf green, Raph was emerald green, Donnie was olive green, and Mikey was sea green.

These were really hard for a lot of people to find and most people still haven’t had any luck. NECA did tell someone in a comment that it is not limited to Target, so it should end up on their own website at some point. So stay tuned!

The accessory sets from NECA are things I wished other toy lines did. Hasbro kind of does it with these Transformers sets that have loads of little bits and bobs. Would love GI joe Classified to do it like hands, specifically fists, McGuffins from the Sunbow series. Yeah Super 7 is doing it but I don’t buy their collectibles. I love the NECA ones. It’s fun to accessorize out toys. So yep it’s worth $60 in that it’s not offered again. My Rocksteady needed a helmet. The baby turtles are cute. I like the TV with the swap out screens. It’s a good set.

In store options are so messy right now. Good chance your store doesn’t have a vendor to put the stuff out. It’s an awful setup between these two companies

@@madisonlynn2419 no worries! In my NECA buying guide video I mention a Twitter hashtag that’s all about helping collectors get what they need and we only ever pay retail plus shipping. Might be worth considering an account for just that. It’s really a great, unexpected experience over there.

The bright green are not the color the 80s cartoon turtles were; they actually were the darker green. My preference is also the darker green so it is as true to the original series and I hope they release another brothers set with the dark green but with a different face poses i.e. happy, goofy, confused etc.

Yes! Darker and fully matte like the first wave and these baby turtles are. I have the in disguise set so they are semi gloss. The bright green is right on with the old marketing stuff, but then there are the random 4 color designs that were common with Playmates toys. I would be down for a pack like that, too. If they stuck to one color scheme they legit could have made a head accessory pack. Talk about ways to make extra money! Haha

Big MACC and Baby Turtles are all 80's episodes, so the console would therefore not be a Super Nintendo. Probably an Atari clone. 😁

The darker green is more accurate to the cartoon itself and the brighter green is the color used for promotional material.

Yes, but they seemed to have moved to bright green since the initial dark release. And the first set of dark were fully matte like these baby turtles. My set is from the in disguise pack and have semi gloss. Just give me the dark sets or a 4 color variety pack to match Playmates and this box art! Now we’re talking!! Haha

The actual reason the baby turtles are dark green is because the baby turtles weren’t from merchandising and were actually from the TV show

They aren’t the turtles as baby’s they are the turtles just shrunk it was part of a 4 part episode where they had to get 3 alien crystals and Baxter got one and attached it too his helmet which is in this set and he used it to shrink them,the little monsters was part of the episode attack of the killer pizza’s which was from dimension X and looked like meatballs on pizzas and hatched after the pizzas was put in the microwave and grew once they hit water.

Or, it's from "Back to the Egg" where Krang has "an age-reversing serum". The episodes you're talking about have adult proportions. These have baby proportions. But at the end of the day, you could just read the back of the box where they label them "baby Leonardo", etc
