The warrior that died because the priest didnt heal him is exactly the kind of shit that keeps me from playing hardcore. Its not the shit within my control that scares me, its the shit out of my control.

not entirely. my take is that he ran in and body pulled two packs, then tried to run them back to his group to get heals. why not pull one pack back to group with ranged weapon? yeah he didnt get heals but also couldve done the pull safer. if you are worried about the healer skill lvl just do the pulls safer and you will be fine.

@@ryanbrown1918The pull wasn't great, but watching a tank go from full health to 0 over 20 seconds and him getting exactly 0 heals means the real problem was the healer.

@@ryanbrown1918 Right? Plus he was tanking WITHOUT A SHIELD, in battle stance (I'm also pretty sure he has Herod's gear, which is mainly DPS focused, not stam focused). Like talk about unnecessary risk+blatant overconfidence. A tank doesn't need to do damage, he just needs to live, turns out it's the damage's job to do damage - who knew! If he wanted to group up as a DPS, he should have done that and gotten someone who wanted to actually tank. EDIT: And b/c of that shit BODY PULL he also agroed the boss. Those packs don't start Mordresh if you agro from range. Overall, an extremely stupid pull, not one redeemable thing about it and that death was 100% his fault.

That's my plan. I plan on only questing in areas with green mods and doing a lot of grinding. also since i've done the quests before, I can just ignore the really hard quests.

1:57 .... Send in the voidwalker to aggro and tank initially. Rogue and Warrior run and aggro/kick boss. Mage frost nova and take care of adds. It's like people only played 1 class and suck at it ...

Re: the tank situation: I sometimes play warrior though I main hunter so when I was joining a WOTLK stockades group and we could find no tanks I said I have a shield, I can tank. But in hardcore you probably should get like 3 references and some video of the guy tanking, I kept switching stances back & forth for insane reasons and just hacking away at things / taunting to keep aggro it was no big deal in WOTLK classic ( plus we were probably over level) but in hardcore I prob woulda killed someone.

xaryu revisited that place on his mage i think and he was like wuut...his tank that time pulled only a tiny portion of the skeletons at a time and the mage aoe them, they died like flies. he just went safer. showing that despite the healer making a mistkae in not healing him, he as well went all in with that hoarde of skeletons. just play safe, pull less and you will be fine

That was 100% Xaryu's fault. He runs in on like 20 mobs, literally uses 0 cds and was not even in tank stance until he was already 38% hp. Why did he even go in like that. Just let the mage and lock pop their aoe and they die as they run through it. Just clap or whatever on the stragglers that resist and get through. He played that the worst he could have.

I've been playing ff14 as a whm for a few years now after playing WoW for like 15 years. Watching the priest ignore the tank in Scholomance....christ, healing for the first time has taught me soooooo much when it comes to prioritizing, and I never healed in WoW. I see the healer utterly ignoring the tank for a couple gcd's to heal an idiot who has plenty of ways to get out of the situation on his own makes my head hurt. To be fair, healers are expected to dps and only heal when absolutely necessary (which isn't much) in FF, but healing a dps is a the literal bottom of my priority list.
