I was shocked too! It makes sense though, with the sand and the style of them but I feel like that would fit better with lanmola. Legend of Zelda has some interesting categorizations for their enemies 😂

@@Bashfulday Yeah they should show the lanmola some more love! I see what you mean, if the lanmola was what the moldorm was in TP, it would be work well. Hopefully they decide to use more Zelda 1 enemies in future games. I’d also be interested in a ton of brand new enemies.

@@Bashfulday Yeah, the distinction between Moldorm and Lanmola is an odd one. I thought the Lanmolas in A Link to the Past look more like the Moldorms in Zelda 1 than the Moldorms in A Link to the Past do.

All of these translations are weird in the franchise haha. I did catch myself in editing about the gels but I didn’t think was right so I scrapped the whole section and restarted. I would rather someone tell me the way I said it was weird than look dumb on my own 😂 also I will say I have somewhat of a USA country accent you can hear it when I say dungeon sometimes in this video so some of the pronunciation might be a little different from how they are supposed to sound 😂

XD The localizers giving him a randomly Greek name with a DM-combo we don't have much of in English.. is gonna understandably throw some people off. Unless they're fans of Dmitri Martin or something. His original name was 'Dimchi' like I guess a pun on Kimchi?

My dad had his og systems so in like 2009-2010 I decided to play with them and here we are haha. I can’t imagine not having a D pad playing that boss 😭

I agree with you my plan for a later video is to go through the whole Enemy list from every game and point out enemies that have the same type of look or fight style. I’ll have to have help from you guys when I make this it’s going to most likely a longer video adding in a lot of enemy look alike! 😋

@@Bashfulday One glitch is on earlier versions, having a weapon get eaten at the same time as you picked it up it would cull (there's a lot to say about culling, but for this I'll just say it freezes a lot of states, such as if an item should be dropped) and if you drop it while culled, it'll get stuck to your hand, and if you equip another weapon, the hitboxes will stack. If you try to drop the weapon you equipped against the wall and kill the like-like, the weapon in its mouth will go through saves (there are other ways, but this is the method with like-likes)

That sounds like a good opportunity to see if you can item store or something in the glitchy department? I haven’t had any of those things happen in my game so I didn’t know that could happen!

There are a few throughout the series that as just the fire rope things like the guruguru bar, winder and even the fireball cannon. Nintendo make zero sense when it comes to names for their enemies, I have figured that much out with this series haha 😂

I was going to talk about Gibdos turning into Stalfos when we cover stalfos, I have no clue about there being only one vire in OoX, I’ll have to look up the ALttP like likes! I also haven’t ever been eaten by a like like in TotK so I didn’t know they took equipment 😂

@@Bashfulday the original ALttP Like Likes are the ones with the long tongue, first encountered in Skull Woods if I recall. They are called Like Likes in Japanese but Pikkits in English. In the GBA version, they added the traditional tube Like Likes to the game, in a bit of a sick irony they only live near the Shield Shop in the Dark World. In the Japanese version, the original ones with the tongue were retroactively specified as "Like Like (subspecies version)", while the ones outside the Shield Shop are the default Like Likes that bear the name with no qualifier. To simplify, ALttP contains two types of Like Likes in the GBA release. The new "iconic" Like Likes in ALttP GBA can eat Mirror Shields, hence you being able to buy replacement Mirror Shields in the GBA version, and they also fly away with your shield after a certain amount of time if I recall. There's only one singular Vire in OoX as a specific character who works for Onox, Veran, and Twinrova, and you face him several times across both cartridges. Vire escapes alive and well after the first fight with him in OoX; In your Linked Game/second cartridge, Vire comments that you defeated him before and dies when you face him the final time in your second quest, pretty much upset that he was defeated by you multiple times. So not only is there a single Vire treated as a named character in OoX, they take the time to give him continuity as a recurring underling of the antagonists who comments on your battles with him across both cartridges. For the most part, they let Vires go out on a high note in their final mainline appearance by making them into a singular, notable recurring antagonist. As for Gibdos, I figured it made sense to mention with Gibdos because it's inconsistent what enemies they become, so it doesn't quite make sense to cover it in the Stalfos section to me; by covering it at Gibdo, you could better explain how they become either Stalfos or ReDeads depending on the game, and their very high defense in their appearances is usually tied to the intended gimmick of weakening them with fire to deal with the easier form, which I'm just mentioning I'm surprised isn't brought up given you comment on their high defense but not how that ties into the gimmick of how youre intended to penetrate said defense in most games beginning with ALttP. I think their weakness to sunlight and the Sun's Song in the 3D games could've maybe gotten a mention since that's tied to how you're meant to deal with their bulkiness.

I don’t know if Dondons would fall into that category, they seem to come from horses gene wise. Other than looking kinda similar I don’t think they would be considered Dodongos, I could also be completely wrong 😂
