i don't know if i'm being too much of a pessimist, but i have a feeling that the announcement/change to nct dream isn't actually going to guarantee much (in terms of having 7dream comebacks). to me, it feels like an easy way for SM to suddenly justify promoting 5dream without hyuck, to allow them to promote more often than once a year (🙃) while hyuck (& mark) continue with 127 promotions as usual. that's why i think they bring up the idea of dream acting like U, with "different member lineups"-- if they take out hyuck, that counts as a different lineup. this is because imo, SM only really cares about milking all they can out of 127 while it's still possible (aka, before the older members start leaving for enlistment) and shoving dream to the side until they get to essentially replace 127 in terms of promotions. that's also probably part of their plan; 5dream will be placed into fixed groups (or the same one) in the future, which i think may be the "next" 127. it's all speculation on my part, but i don't have high hopes that SM will suddenly allow mark to promote with dream multiple times a year; the most i would hope for is one 7dream comeback and several 5dream comebacks while hyuck is busy with 127 in america or wherever. even if you look at the current situation between kick it promos and reload... it's incomparable and honestly embarrassing that they can treat two units under the SAME GROUP NAME so differently. i will obviously support dream's comeback, but it's frustrating that we literally only get crumbs once a year (2018- only we go up, 2019- only we boom, 2020- only reload... likely). that's why i might expect half a cookie in the coming months/years, but nowhere near a full cookie for awhile until SM's priorities are forced to change.

I'm sick and tired of dream and WayV being used as the "backup groups". They have so much talent and dream was what got me into NCT in the first place. I love 127 but dream is just as talented. Their songs are probably the most catchy (in my opinion). I just hope Sm doesn't keep debuting members just to overlook them and continue to overwork the same four members. I find it so sad that it took so long just to give dream a concert when other rookie groups who debuted after them have had world tours already. I especially find it ridiculous that SM spent so much time and energy putting SuperM together. You can tell those specific members are already overworked and, quite frankly, don't need the exposure due to how famous they are already. They just HAD TO pick apart groups, sacrifice the productivity of the teams they were in before, and stick a bunch of members together just so they could brag about having a "supergroup" that ultimately has to go back to their previous positions when they have unlimited talent lying at their feet in NCT if they would just put more effort into promotions. It's incredulous that a company as big as Sm basically got too lazy to build another successful group from the ground up and tried to find a shortcut that ultimately harms the ability of the individual groups to grow. If they had spent that time investing in Dream and WayV, who knows where they could be today.

7dream bond is smth else. They hold so much meaning. They can roast tf out of each other and square up with each other but in the end they'll always run back to each other, comfort each other,cry for each other. Nct Dream is somewhat a beautiful mistake for me😭 Back then when I didnt stan nct yet, I was already skeptical of the whole graduation concept. Bc I think it's a shame and pity to rip them apart when they practically grew up with each other since they were kids and when they have build up such deep chemistry with each other. And I was right. The whole graduation is a mess. Now even rotational, I dont think we'll get 7dream like we wish. I believe SM is just saying this to make nctzens feel better when this is actually a temporary solution b4 they actually separate them into new units. I think they weren't expecting that dream would be so well loved and now they're stuck. They dont know whether to continue the concept, adding new dreamies or keep the roaster or just jump to the point and seperate/create new units for the graduated dreamies. We know HC and Mark already hv so much on their plate. Both dream and 127 are growing groups so i'm not confident sm could ever treat them fairly. And im worried that it'll cause a devide in our fandom. So I hope SM dont fuck up big time and get shit straight. Im so glad i'm a part of this beautiful fandom but a part of me is always torn by the emotional distress that comes with it. Seperation, competition, mistreatments, complications etc. But I wont go anywhere. I love their music and even more in love with the boys themselves and the chaotic yet lovely fandom. I hope we'll get to see better days and continue to support the boys no matter what path they'll undergo. as we all know, Jeno is not really a clingy person but I just noticed that ever since the graduation ceremony for Dreamies were cancelled and Mark came back toD Dream he becomes more affectionate. I remember their Mugi Box live where he gave encouraging and sweet words to Jisung and called him cute and everyone was shocked because he's not that usually affectionate. And the way he becomes closer with Mark as I often see on their videos, he always go "Mark hyung this, Mark hyung that." I once saw a comment says that MarkNo realized how important their presence to each other when Mark graduated. I am glad 7DREAMIES became a fix unit because they are surely a gem.
