In high school, our science class did rockets out of 2l bottles. You got to design it however you wanted. Then you put a little water in it and hook it up to an air compressor. Generally, whoever could hold it the longest, had the best flight. Some of the guys got the idea to all try to hold it down together. It never took off, instead it swelled till it exploded. Some of the guys got really bad cuts on their hands from the exploding plastic.
