This. The song represents the duality of personality, the desire to conform and the desire to be independent and also the duality of society, demanding a woman both be demure and 'ladylike' while also fierce and, again, independent. She is singing about how it is easy to conform but it tears at her soul, but when she becomes her full fierce self then society itself attacks her.

@@kylesmith261 I don't need to, sugartits. I actually saw them live and I know the growls are real. Her cleans have post processing on them too, but it doesn't mean she can't sing them, Kyle. Studio version literally has both tracks overlaid on top of eachother on the belt, but that doesn't mean these tracks aren't recordings of real singing... are you one of them "Earth is CGI guys" as well ?

The song is about Tatiana's struggle with the duality of her life. One side aggressive and harsh, the other timid and fearful. She is a Pisces, which is a sign that demonstrates this duality. The song is about that struggle.

Tatiana is a legend, no effects on her voice, except the normal for a singer... she learn by herself and her technic is impeccable!! nobody does it like her. look at Teacher Teacher, she even rap a bit at the beginning. and switch even faster in between the two voices. in Judgement she sing some reggea... so much to discover for you guys.

Best explanation what she's doing is on Fairy Voice Mother's reaction to this song. After she spits up her tea in surprise she backs up and gives a great explanation about false cord growls. lol "cherish his life to the underworld" is a perhaps overly poetic way of saying love til death, setting up the "looking for a hook to catch on..." line on the way to and "suffocate..." re don't piss off a Pisces, theres a funny interview wher Tatiana the singer and the bassist/manager Eugene have a bit of a disagreement and Tati says grumpily "we'll talk about this later" then Eugene looks at the camera and says "You'll never see me alive again."

Tatiana was a fan of other metal scream/growlers. She went to the edge of her town in the Ukraine and screamed at cars passing until she figured out the basics. Junjer Teacher Teacher is multiple recordings of live performances that is amazing. Tatiana is very introverted and shy in real life. Simply amazing band all together. Very tight and unique. I'd suggest another switch up and say Voiceplay and their cover of If I Were a Rich Man/Girl. Very different vibe.

Yes, it's a description of a Pisces, two fish swimming in opposite directions, and ya, it's all Tatiana. Welcome to the world of metal music. Deep, thoughtful, serious, and as hard as hell. Some other songs from Jinjer, "Judgment and Punishment - One Take", "Teacher, Teacher", "Perennial", "Pit of Consciousness", and "Sit, Stay, Roll Over" should get you started. Their new stuff is studio only, but "Vortex", "Mediator" and "Wallflower" are definitely on the must list. If you want to get more into female lead metal bands, then look at Nightwish, Arch Enemy, Spiritbox, Epica, Unleash the Archers, and a bunch of others (about 400 at last counting). Some are melodic (Nightwish) and some are all death metal growls (Arch Enemy) and some are in between (Spiritbox), but they're all good.

LOL! That was a fun first Jinjer reaction to watch. Liked and sub'd. BTW, the band is Jinjer (Vlad on drums, Eugene on bass, and Roman on guitar) and Tatiana is the lead singer (her voice is an instrument in my opinion). If you want to see Tati do this live, I along with others that already have, would recommend giving Perennial Live at Wacken 2019 a watch. You won't regret it. Looking forward to seeing more Jinjer reactions! 🍺

She's a Pisces, you know, the symbol with the two fish swimming in opposite directions? Like a Yin & Yang sign? That's why this song has such a heavy duality theme and aquatic references. And Jinjer is the whole band (that goes for most metal bands btw), her name is Tatiana. It's basically a metaphorical song about herself. And the song is about the sign pisces (two fish, star sign) and it contains one of the best lines in a song I've ever heard: One being brings life, another runs for death. 2 fish = 2 personalities.

Uh-ohh, I absolutely love watching people get to know Jinjer. Tatiana is the bait, the band is the hook, their musicality reels you in. They are the ONLY band I know that blends music genres so seamlessly. Jazzy, Bluesy, Rastafarian, Heavy Metal. They are all Masters of their crafts and will go down as one of the most important independent bands of all time, they are truly needed in this day and age. Fun fact: Tatiana is the oldest member of Jinjer, but no one in the current lineup are founding members. Sub'd for the Jinjer journey, I hope you enjoy the trip. The singer, Tatiana, spent years developing her voice. and the "sea monster" . . . the name of the song is Pisces : Pisces is the Latin word for “fish,” and in Greek mythology, this constellation represents the koi fish that saved Aphrodite and her son Eros from the sea monster Typhon.

Jinjer - Pisces should have been one of the finale songs for the game Rock Band all those years shoo, similar to what Dragonforce was in Guitar Hero III.

also, look into the description of what "Pisces" means. Its a bit of a dichotomy. That's what she's/the band is emoting in the song.
