A good defender reads the game and doesn't have to do too much actual defending...they come off the pitch with clean shorts. Martinez comes off the pitch muddy, he is always in fights and last ditch tackles...not a good defender.

I just don't understand punditry sometimes. To say that Lisandro Martínez has been OK for Manchester United is ridiculous! Exactly, He trains everyday and he is the most hardworking player out there so there's is no one who knows his condition better than himself but sadly there are many people who dislike CR7 and they just want to keep blaming him for everything even if he plays well.
