@arindam nag ji, I agree with you that 'Tere mere sapne' from Guide is one of Burman Dada's best songs. In musicians Maruti Rao and Iqbal Bhai on tabla, Manohari on Saxophone, Shiv Kumar on santoor and Pyarelal on violin. Dada was an extraordinary genius in creating situational song with ease. The most remarkable aspect of this masterpiece of a song is to look intently at Rosie's actions combined with her facial expressions. I'm describing them briefly due to time constraint, others can do a better job. Initially, Dev takes her arm into his own, while she is going through turmoil finally moving away from him. Dev follows her, singing his intoxicating song, at the same time keeping his distance. She is shown moving away, still unsure, hesitant to come to Dev''s extended hand, having recently gone through a bad separation from her abusive husband. Finally, she allows herself to be taken into Dev''s arms, only to wrench herself out of his embrace. Dev, realising victory, follows her through, and tries to be as close to her as he dares. She's still hesitating, but his actions and lyrics do her in, finally hugging him closely. (Moti Lalwani)

@jai guru dev Sudhir Datt ji, Neither of these two films was produced by Navketan films owned by Dev Anand. Gambler was produced and directed by Amar Jeet under Nalanda banner, and Yeh Gulistan Hamara was produced and directed by Atma Ram under Guru Dutt Films banner. You may be knowing that Atma Ram was younger brother of Guru Dutt. Thanks for comments.

Dev Anand should not have gone for directions. That was not his cup of tea. Prem Pujari songs were highly popular & are still very popular now, even after 50 years but picturised in worst possible way.

@Ashish Mudgal, You are right by saying they were the best trio. I would put it with slight difference: Dev as a debonair hero, SD as the superb composer and Vijay Anand as one of the best directors.

@@abhijitgupta1178 I wouldn't say picturisation was that bad, but the entire film was a big bore, the only saving grace being its music.

@@lalwanimoti but still all 3 r my favourite, infact just yesterday night i was watching the song 'Tu Jahan Yeh bata' from ' tere ghar ke samne'.... It has been released in colour on You Tube.... And then i got this video from Moti Ji.
