The man feels robbed and is frustrated by the failure of his first business and is now scapegoating his wife. 80% of all new businesses fail even in good economies, it might be higher in Nigeria where there are no stats. I wish he would get over his hurt and reclaim his family since there are no accusations of serious issues such as domestic violence, infidelity, etc. Throwing away his family at this point would be a double tragedy.

I know the man is angry but from my observation, the woman was living a lavished lifestyle when the business was booming and did not bother about its falling. She is the type that has the mentality that whatever it is, my husband must find a way to take care of me. If not, she would had raised alarm when the business was going down. I am also suspecting her family members. They were not helping matters with demands too

This problem is the situation in the country, you will think that someone is behind your predicament, this lady has know fault at all, you should have set apart some money for the personal used,and not touch business money at all, please take back your wife,the way she spoke she definitely knows what she wants, please don't destroy this family,it shall pass in Jesus name.

I have said this before now, from siblings to parents to wife and in-laws, do business with them on your peril. I learn in a had way after making some mistakes. I rather do give away with my money than doing business with close relatives.

Never put any of your relationships close to a new business, because they would think stealing from you is normal. I took my family off from my building construction when i quickly discovered the habit of unseriousness and high demand of products money. So i finally gave it to someone i can shout on if he's not doing what i want and now i spent less that what i was spending before. I hope they can still reconcile and rebuild their mistakes.

As someone who managed shops for my late mum, i know exactly what the wife did. It’s never regarded as stealing 😂but it is. During daily sales we do something called partial remittance. So then when you make sales 150k in a day, you only write 120k as daily sales and have to do right it in a book, it’s might not be much but because it’s a daily act it will later emerge into something big. The mistake she made was to renovate her father’s house with those personal savings from the business instead of giving her husband since they were in a bad financial state. She should have used it for something that would benefit the family.

As someone who worked for one of the top FMCG brands in Nigeria & Internationally, the years from 2016 to 2020 were absolutely not the years to invest as a Distributor expecially as a newcomer. Likelihood of failure is 97%. The Judge was wrong to blame her for that business failure.

I was about to put blame on the wife, but when i listen carefully to her statements i have to put the blame on bad economy , government policy, all this things now affect their marriage, because the business money is being over used in paying bills, i pray God change his mind to accept her wife back

When running a business you have to separate your business expenses from your other expenses. Then pay yourself and other workers a salary from which they solve their other problems. Then every month and every 3 months you should audit your accounts to see if you are making profits or losses.

Its always best to keep money for upkeep for at least 6 months away from your business capital. Eating immediately from a new business has high probability of crashing the business. Always have a part time source of income apart from the main business.
