2 ай бұрынSo, this week we had a return customer stop in that had a little controversy around her the first time she came in. She brought in some really good stuff last visit and brings some more this time around. This time she tells where she might be getting it. While going through what she had the shop gets busy with just me working it so im trying to juggle helping four customers in a few minutes span. After that, we go to some yard sales and find a super clean with ten games Super Nintendo we try to buy to flip. So tune in and see where all this stuff is coming from or if you enjoy reselling or pawn shop this might be worth your subscription.

BS ... she said she worked in bars most of her life... she was on the PAYCHECK end of things .. not the PAWN STORY. Two different walks of life. Yes, there are folks out there that get to pack'n their parents and grandparents things, and they ask others to help them downsize the pile. Many have no clue the true value of the items they are selling. People should care more about their history. I never did hear what the value of the Platinum Ring was ... I'm not convinced of 'fair trade yet' ... I struggle with this alot, as I am one of the people that is left to manage things of "Ago" whether I discover them, or they discover ME. 🙃 @PawnBrokerPickers

@@themishmish101 I did see that in the later post. But I do know of cases where someone really did let a friend clean up their garage to help them out. The pawn broker wasn't out of line, and he obeyed the system that is designed to provide a safeguard for the owner to get her stolen stuff back.

My son bought his fiancé's engagement ring at a pawn shop. Paid $1800 and it had the receipt from the jewelry store next door, which we verified and talked to the lady that sold it originally. It appraised for $7k. I couldn't believe it.

@@dirty_glove He got a hell of a deal! The point of the story was more about how he could verify the info because the original jeweler was next door to the pawn shop. Of course value is based on each person and market but it's alot easier to get a good price when you can verify it isn't stolen. The appraisal was for insurance purposes.

Saw A video somewhere about A year ago.. A lady was asked to clean out A garage. The owner was A widow. The lady reported to her she found 2 tubs with lids.. full of cash. Her eccentric husband lived to hide money. She told the lady it was there. She was given 10k per each tub for finding. The owner lived in another state. It’s awesome when people go to help someone & there is A treasure to be found. Good karma brings great things in someone’s life. Bad karma can devastate someone’s life. Being honest is what life is all about. That lady with the silver spoons knows what bad karma brings. You work in A bar.. You hear what causes others downfalls. She got A blessing.

I found a envelope with £1500 in it when i was a kid, handed it in to police. Owner came forward to claim it and asked who handed it in, police told them it was me, they came to see me to say thanks and give me a reward, they gave me £5. I you lsten closely I think she said she got the items "cleaning out a ladies garage", not her garage. And yeah, its crazy but you wouln't believe the items people throw out. I know a few people that do garage cleanouts for a living and I've seen them come up with all kinds of neat stuff including complete sets of sterling flatware.

I used to work at a storage unit place about 25 years ago. I can't tell you the number of old spoons and "silverware" I threw away. I was 16 and had no clue that silverware was actually silver. At the same time silver back then probably wasn't worth near as much as it is today.

That lady is such a kindred spirit! She like me gets antsy or little nervous while being in public place and dealing with other socially. So she sways back and fourth while she talks. It’s perfectly normal as she is human. Good soul honest and true blue. I know. Thanks for treating her great!
