Nah you can’t put Kabza in such a context, you know a kelvin momo song when you hear one, a kabza song when you hear it, Mas music, Vigro, mhaw keys, melzi, busta, I could go on and on, but can any one tell or distinguish Phori’s sound on piano ?? Every time he gets called out he vocally defends himself instead of letting the music speak, he says that he’s gonna produced an entire project by himself, really? The last 8 albums/projects of his Gqom wave to Ba strata, they are all collaborations, he released the 4 tracked Madumane EP in 2020, even the song (Bentley) I consider the best on that EP hardly scratched the surface of popularity/air play, I mean appearing on hundred songs and yet you don’t even have 5 songs where you don’t feature anyone ? Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a great artist and is one of the most consistent (at least in relevancy) in the country, and he has played and continue to play a major role in Amapiano, probably a few people outside the amapiano birth place knew piano before Him, his connection and influence helped and continues to help progress the genre, but in terms of piano production, he might as well be in the same category as major league, they are also very influential and one could argue that they were amongst the back bone of piano during lock down but we all know they can’t produce. Now given all that I mentioned and Phori knowing that kind of power and influence he has, it can be easy for him to gate keep to a certain extent, it’s one thing of it’s said once but when different people keep on saying the same thing, it can’t be a coincidence, after all, the old saying goes “where there’s smoke there’s fire”, do I think he can’t produce piano? Absolutely not, he can probably produce and genre, but do I think he can produce endless piano hits? I think he’s yet to prove or disapprove otherwise, but anywho, I digress.

These kids want it sooo bad do u think they will be willing to sacrifice it all leaving maphorisa or kabzas wing? They do this with faith that they would be put on...don't blame them.

@@lani8766 well said! And 💯% agree with you. Phori has very little or anything tangible he can put his name on that he produced, and became a hit or went gold or platinum especially in piano. I know he has countless of hits in hip hop/Kwaito and Afro beats but at this point he to prove himself and shut people up with full piano project packed with hit. And he should only feature Madumane 😂

He was known everywhere but he was broke. Phori stepped up for him. Some of these mathafakas wouldn't be sh!t if it wasn't for Phori. If Kabza decide to distance himself from Phori today he will lose alot. Mlindo was struggling without Phori and now he dropped his album🤷🏽‍♂️ Maphorisa makes things happen!!
