The way you explain things in the video is extremely helpful. I love the video work and editing. Curious how they slide / feel on different terrain like streets and powerslides on different things. Also, sick skating!

The slide is extremely satisfying, they feel more like sliding on a longboard with a super creamy slide and very little chatter. They ride ok on rough terrain but if you're skating to a spot id prolly want the softer ones. You can buy the same shape in different sizes and also the 93 duro formula which i havent tried. They have a nice amount of stickiness and they look like little marshmallows which i enjoy.

Got these from the Chermside store before they could hit the shelf a few weeks ago and I have to say the are the best wheels I've had in my 20+ years of skateboarding. So smooth and the stability it offers when on the rail is better than I expected. Opened up heaps of new stuff to learn.

If you didn't grip or hang up on ts or ns, wait until you wear away the outermost gloss off the wheels and they slide ridiculous! I used the 56mm conical dragons🐉🛞 for downhill on a 33" old school 🛹 w/total control of speed and every slide!

I just got a set of the bones x-97a 56mm v6 shape and absolutely love them so far. They’re wide with a rounded edge like a radial but side cut like a conical. Also tried Bronson g3 bearings and have been impressed so far

@DarkoNomad

It's important to mention that these wheels are wider and about 1 wheel heavier together then most sets of 52mm wheels. The wheels add 0.25 inch to the axle width which is perfect if you want to match low trucks like Tensor or Venture (they usually go only up to 8 inches) with 8.25 inch deck for example, or upscale your board widght without changing the trucks. It's also important to mention that these won't slide much because of larger contact surface but that can change over time when they become more conical. In general they work great on curbs, walls and for freestyle trick because they prevent axle threads from damage, digging into your soles but also from axles hitting your shins when missing flip tricks. In general they are great all-around wheels but not for everyone. BTW being wider also means that they feel a bit softer then 97A and probably will make them last longer.

As far as axle wear why not use washers. The most neglected skateboard part in history. If you use washers to your liking they protect your threads and affect absolutely nothing negatively. I wont even tell you outside or inside as it’s all subjective. I personally wear shin guards however having a flat surface like an axle nut hit shin is different than axle hitting shin. I think basically he created a good wheel if you like the feel. I found it grippy. It’s cool. As far as necessary, properly using washers and thinking outside the box just a pinch may save you the money and definitely fix the main issue

You are literally the only other person I've ever explicitly hear say that for slappies what you need is a rounded outer edge. Maybe that's because most classic wheel shapes have this anyway, but I found out the hard way when I got myself a set of Spitfire "OG Cuts", which are just perfectly flat on the side with no transition to the bottom at all. These look nice though. Riding the X formulas now but think I'll go back to the softest F4s after. In my experience, the softer duro, while making for a smoother ride on rough ground, doesn't necessarily make really shitty ground fun to skate, but it does make pristine skatepark concrete feel a little sticky somehow. Really depends what kind of skating you do, but for me I'm fairly sure the best all-round wheel remains the Spitfire F4 99d.
