Dragon Quest 3 is the first chronologically. I think that's what the game's creator said in his brief after-the-reveal speech.

I screamed like 5 times while watching it. I almost passed out when they said "This one's gonna take you for a ride." Dragon Quest, the Nintendo Online releases, Marvel vs Capcom collection, and a massive Mario Party made me very happy. My favorite Nintendo series is Metroid and I've been waiting and waiting for over half a decade, so the Metroid Prime 4 footage gave me such an ugly cry in the vey best way. Much ecxite!

Legend of Link would be a fun title for the new Zelda game.

There are a few games in the direct I'm looking forward to. DKC Returns HD, Mario & Luigi Brothership, The New Dempa Men, Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports, Nintendo World Championships NES Edition (AKA: NES Remix 3), Stray, Funko Fusion and Metroid Prime 4. Was expecting the first game in the direct to be a remake of one of the past Mario & Luigi games like Partners in Time.

I totally get where you're going with the Treasure Tracker comparison. This pretty much confirms that Metroid Prime 4 is a Switch/Switch 2 title which tells us that the Switch 2 will be coming out in 2025.

I'm still excited for the Zelda game but with Link's Awakening and its frame rate issues I hope we don't get a repeat of that problem.

Omg I got home and saw your title first then went to watch… this is easily the best Direct ever for me. Ace Attorney alone would have made me pumped, but that Zelda game, Metroid 4, the NSO games coming… I let out an audible ‘yes!’ Like three times haha.

Dragon Quest is starting on 3 because that game is actually a prequel to the story of 1-2. That’s actually the recommended place to start in the series, thus the odd looking remake order.

Seems like other companies would be content to just let their console fade away in its final year and focus on their upcoming new hardware. Not Nintendo. This is the strongest end-of-console lineup I can remember. The only other games I'd like to see for Switch are Metroid Prime 2 and 3 Remastered. It would be odd to say the least if they only had Metroid Prime Remastered and Metroid Prime 4 on the Switch.

If you haven't played the Ace Attorney games, you are missing out! It is one of Capcom's top series for good reason! And FINALLY we get an official translation of AAI2 13 years later! Never thought I'd see this day! Now the only game missing from Switch (or an HD version in general) is the spinoff, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright. Wonder if they will ever get around to AA7.

Amazing Direct. Was hoping for a couple more titles but only remasters that i still hold out hope for in the future. Mostly Metroid Prime 2 & 3 Remastered and Zelda Twlightlight Princess and Wind Waker HD ports from the Wii U.

Nintendo direct was way better than I was expecting.

I admit to being a stubborn over 40 year old gamer who lives by the Super Nintendo is the best thing ever concept but I gotta say I think Switch has a wild lineup even if I barely get to game anymore. I wish I was 15 today. Only reason why I say it is Chrono Trigger on the DS is my preferred way to play that legend game nowadays due to my life on the go. The hard part is The original NES which I got so late in it's lifespan compared to everyone else has Tecmo Super Bowl and Mike Tyson's Punch Out and therefore those two games alone is why I still have a NES

Without watching your video (yet), but seeing the Nintendo Direct, I would say "no". There was no announcement of a Mario Maker 3 or Legend of Zelda Maker. However, there are 4 games that piqued my interest somewhat -- Mario & Luigi Brotherhood, Legend of Zelda's Quest, Dragon Quest III 2d HD, and the Shire/Hobbit game.

Starting with 3 is weird until you consider it's the beginning of the first 3 games in timeline

At this point I'm assuming they're saving Wind Waker HD as a launch title for Switch 2 The Nintendo World Championship thing seems weird to me, even as an American who's old enough to have NES nostalgia. That's still an obscure title that I have a hard time seeing anyone being super interested in. Most awareness of NWC is focused on the rarity of the original cartridge, not the game itself. NES remix is a much better implementation of that kind of gameplay. They should have just made NES Remix 3 and/or brought 1 & 2 to the Switch. The multiplayer might get some interest, seems like a decent substitute for Mario 35.

Okay... So when is the Switch 2 coming? Is next year? Or this Christmas?

Also I'd put the Smash Bros. Brawl reveal in 2nd place purely for how big of a thing it was as well + the nostalgia I have for the game. The Orchestral music in Brawl is still breath taking if you play it through a good set of speakers.

I believe DQ3 is a prequal to 1 and 2. So they remade it first for chronological order. Odd take on dk since they ported the 5th game before the 4th. Not chronological but im happy they didnt leave it behind. The game is close to 20 years old and needed potted before tropical freeze. And no more wii controls!🙌

I dunno about best ever but there are about 5 or 6 games announced that I will 100% be buying and of those games there are several that I will buy a collector's edition for if offered.

When I first saw the the Legend of Zelda video , I was very skeptical and thought "here we go with a woke Link replacement with a Strong Independent Woman Who Don't Need No Man (TM)" , but ended up being very pleasantly surprised that it is doing a new thing with what looks to be a well thought out female protagonist . The gameplay looks cool as it plays up the puzzle element and seems like it's trying to bring in some of the crafting and "open world" ideas from the BOTW series . It also seems to lean into "combat is just another puzzle" , which is cool . So , I'm genuinely looking forward to this one !

I am currently working through Dragon Quest 1 and 2, on the second now. They a kind of dreadful to play today but feel obligated to play them, I mean they are not bad. I think some remakes would do wonders for them, like buying at shops, etc. They are not as annoying as Earthbound but yeah, it is rough by modern standards.

The best thing about Nintendo direct was MVC Collection, which is multi platform. Everything Nintendo is played out. Has been for decades.
