Michael, thank you for talking about this. When Sammy alluded to this I immediately thought it had something to do with Tommy Mottolla, the CEO of Sony Records who had mob connections... He was married to Mariah Carey and Mariah and a few other celebrities talked about how they were scared of Tommy for his supposed mob connections. I figured maybe he wanted Michael dead for obvious reasons as Michael at one point in time owned half of Sony. Also Michael's manager Frank Dileo who did a small cameo in Good Fellas stated in his book how he stopped a hit on Michael... But he never went to any detail. This has always puzzled me and made my mind come up with all these theories and etc. Frank Dileo also put Michael and Joe Pesci together and thats how Joe Pesci ended up being the bad guy criminal in Michael's movie "Moonwalker"... lol.. Anyway, I didn't know anything about this Norby Walters guy. I had been hearing bits and pieces about Michael and possible hit out on him during the mid 80s and it always fascinated me... So anyway, your story helped put the pieces together and it all adds up. Thanks for sharing this story. Super entertaining. If you have any more mob stories on other celebs in the music industry I would love to hear them!

Great story...👍. Back in 78 I was down and out and happen to run into Michael Jackson's family... Michael's Mom and Dad...I didn't have any place to stay ...I met one of the roadies and asked if I could help unload thier truck ...So I did and Joe Jackson heard my story and paid for my stay in the hotel for 2 weeks...After that my life turned around in a positive way...That's my Michael Jackson story 👍. I am happy to hear Sammy and you are ok now ...Thier comes a time to close the door to the past ..Other than good memories.... Everyone lives and thinks and acts differently...Sometimes are past can haunt us and we seem to be the person from the past...And that can cause alot of heartache...We all have had crap in the past...But leave that behind ..dig into the heart .. There's a side of all of us that we never knew existed... It's time to live ..love and appreciate were able to make it this far ...And just know we're all loved and appreciated by someone...And no doubt...God has our back and loves us all very much.... Merry Christmas 🌲🎄 and Happy New Year Mike and your family and friends online and in your life... Sammy...If you read this... Also Have a Merry Christmas 🌲⛄❄️ And a Happy New Year to your family and friends....God Bless 🙏

I love Mr Franzese’s posts, normally. They’re so instructive and wise. But, this is one I take exception to, I must state. I personally find Sammy Gravano to be a despicable character. But, Sammy got it spot-on, here. Dress it up any which way, it was a visit to to MJ to pose a threat. It doesn’t matter how ‘professional’ it was conveyed, ‘Norby or no Victory Tour’ was an ultimatum. All that bothers me is the lack of contrition shown. A Christian would have to acknowledge that Sammy was correct to call it a ‘shakedown’, the Christian would surely admit that Sammy wasn’t ‘out of (his) mind’ in this instance, and that it isn’t a business lesson for anyone. Rather, it is a salutary lesson on how to strike fear into someone through confrontation and smooth/passive aggression. That was no example of mediation, ‘Walters or the tour’s finito’ was a velvet-gloved ‘force of will’.

Michael I love your content and get where you’re coming from almost every time. But here, I gotta step back. That’s a threat, especially if the guy knows who you are. If you don’t think it is, what would your response be if the man flat out said “that’s not going to happen”? Love that’s how you handled it and it’s an entertaining story, but in your case in THAT life, it’s a threat, no?
@magnaviousyk3118
@magnaviousyk3118 2 жыл бұрын
It becomes a threat when the promoter goes beyond the "what if" scenario. When Michael comes, it's not a threat, it's a warning. When he says "I don't think you hear me the first time" and his friends are gonna take a piece of the tour or there will be no tour, that's a threat. But he soften the blow offering friendship and favor in the future hence it's more of a proposition. But I agree with you, beyond that "what if" is the consequences the promoter try to avoid and that would be a threat

If a known murderer comes up to you and says “I want your car”. Maybe that’s not a threat but it’s definitely intimidation (Just to clarify, I am not saying Michael is a killer, this is an analogy)
@ToreDL87
@ToreDL87 2 жыл бұрын
Thing is, it's never been proven that he's a murderer, and until that's proven, he's innocent. Innocent until proven guilty, so that's innocent, not, oh he's not a convicted murderer but I think he's guilty. I could draw similarities with other modern day issues as well, such as equal rights for women, natives, african americans, you name it, you know as well as I do that it just doesnt work that way with those issues, so why with this? So, no offense, but the law either goes for all, or none, no cherry picking, you pick one and work with it, you can't have both, if everyone hated that so much we wouldn't have it, and until such a day comes (if it comes) we're expected to abide by it same as everyone else. Your ball.

A Colombo Family Capo in the 1980s comes in and asks for something in that way, only a fool wouldn't have regarded that as intimidation. Also, imo, though he has understandably been circumspect so as to avoid confessing to crimes, Michael has more or less admitted to having earned his bones, as the saying goes. He has said more than once he took an oath to obey any and all orders from above him... and would have and did obey all orders he was given. Now, that is deniable, but... come on now. That's a nod and a wink to the wise.

Came across your videos and starting binging. There’s a house in Fontana, CA, not too far from where you’re located, that belonged to Al Capone. Growing up, it was a great conversation piece for those who didn’t know where the hell Fontana was lol. He purchased the home from Tony Camonte (Montana) back in the days. The house has a letter “C” on the chimney and was know to have tunnels that have since been cemented shut. Also, The Hells Angels originated in Fontana and used to visit the grand wizard of the kkk house as well. All this activity on the same block as the Al Capone house. imagine that!! Anyways, good to hear you made it through. I look forward to the great content you put out. Respect!

The way Sammy deliver the statement of threatening MJ is like Michael comes to MJ guns blazing. While the way Michael told the story is more believable and true. In the business, in my city, I also met some organization that want a piece of the action and normally that's how things are. We sit down, they told us their concern, we told them our position and eventually work something out. At the end of the day, everybody is making money.

My question is why would Sammy be upset? He claims Michael wasn’t a tough guy but when he actually acted like one and did a shake down on MJ, Sammy throws that in his face too like some sort of moral authority? I’ll bet if Sammy met the manager he would have left with some broken fingers at the very minimum.

@mcharleau ok i did it! i finally fking did it, i read it all lmao, and i 100% agree btw, i was making squinty eyes at michael for the longest time being like, this is kinda sus tbh, im not buying it. The whole nepotism thing im too familiar with, the whole my father this and that, its getting to me, i wont get into that with a certain orange moron i know of, im sure Sammy was really airing his grievances for real what their crew really thought, and im not a fan of him anyways. I liked hearing from him but I've been realizing, Michael likes talking in word salads, talking for 20 minutes and never answering a simple yes or no question that only a crooked politician does (for the love of god not all of them are crooked sure some bad apples all around, one guy broke into a DNC headquarters, one guy got a bj from an intern, and the last guy incited an insurrection and divided the country, which one sounds the most insane?) no wonder an exmobster loves the GoP reminds them of their old life, is what im saying. Sorry about seeming political but this sh*t matters when he peddles nonsense to his audience, and they're like hell yea! spreading further disinformation like what fox/OAN/Newsmax/Alex Jones types do, it offends me, f*ck those people. Its weird seeing Michael when he's not calm and collected in that one podcast with sammy, its like watching bob ross be a drill sergeant, when he's not able to guide the narrative in his favor. You're good with the lengthy response lol now i know how one of my friends feel when i do the same sh*t lmao

@mcharleau oh ya i forgot to touch on the whole not being able to walk around comfortably. i typed a whole other thing mentioning that but accidently clicked somewhere and the bell notification bar on pc goes away where i was typing and i was like, f*ck, i have to remember what i typed. I never thought of that! Even tho i put michael on blast, i still care about the guy, I have worried for his safety with him being so candid just mentioning everyone he knew. I can only imagine how pissed people that still live that life are if they're even around, im like dude stop mentioning sammy, the guys gunna go ape sh*t again and one day try to put moves on you thinking he's still in the old life, please stop. these people obviously dont want to be mentioned. Im over here worrying for the guy, like a father figure thats not sure what a twitter is, and doesnt see the problem with what he's doing.

Well..... You threatened his Manager in a way, just not the way most people conjure up in their mind's when they hear that kind of thing. It's a smart approach.
