The new slx blank has some of the technology from the Daiwa aird-x Braiding-X .. aird-x is a solid rod for around $50.00 I didn't like the two piece reel seat The Carolina blue shimano sellus spinning rod in this video is an amazing rod for $50.00 the performance is unreal

I’ll have to look into this because I’m a Diawa reel fan. Their rods on the other hand have not impressed me yet. Wanting to pick up the new version see how it’s stacks up!

Appreciate this review. I’m trying to decide between this and the Curado series. Is the curado rod worth $80 more?

I don’t own one yet but if I know Shimano it is. But if you gonna spend that much more just go for the zodias or if you can the x pride

@@B_Deucefishing come on man... now you got me looking at the Expride and I don't need to be spending any more money on fishing gear right now. I have St. Croix Mojo Bass right now in two configurations; medium moderate (for treble hook applications) and medium/heavy fast (for most other). They're good rods, I think they have the newer blank in them so they're not as tip heavy.. but I've heard good things about Shimano's rods being more sensitive and lighter.

@@sledgehammerlion I have 4 Zodias rods and an Expride 6'-10" M for my jerkbait fishing. The Expride is an amazing rod, but the Zodias is VERY hard to beat for the price. I would save a few bucks and get the Zodias over the Curado. That being said there is nothing wrong with the Curado line of rods.
