It took a LOT of power and guts to pull the legendary Titanic hit up off the oceanfloor, but Dan bulked up enough to do just what that song needed. It seriously needed a revival, and Dan and Garrett did the cpr just perfectly and blew life and heart back into it.

Garrett worked with Dan on “Carry On” and “Dawn Over a New World”. (He did drums as well as bass and electric guitars in that one!) He will also be working with Dan and Rippa on an upcoming song…an ORIGINAL song…so we’ll see Garrett again soon.

Dan and Garrett gave this old classic a totally new life! Absolutely love this. Thank you for your reaction and continued support for Dan and Garrett.

I can only say what I feel.. this is a phenomenal rendition, perfect production, Dan looks and sounds amazing, Garrett makes those guitars sing, to the point where Dan and the guitar are actually hitting the same note.. the choir layering is just right .. all done without changing one single word, genius. The original suited the film, but was then over played until it was sickly sweet. New year, New version.. faster, more upbeat.. just my opinion though.. lol yep I loved it..Prayers and thoughts to the wonderful Celine as she battles her illness.

What little I know about Dan? I think he would have pulled you both onto the door, swam to safety, pulling you along with him!!

This cover has so many layers to it that it takes multiple times watching it to even come close to seeing them all. I no longer feel like I'm doing a slow sink to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean on the Titanic. Celine has a beautiful voice but I just have never really liked the song as she did it. I have now found a reason to listen to this song thanks to Dan and Garrett! Great reaction!! Yes, Dan has definitely bulked up and his hair seems to be longer.

Have never wanted to watch the titanic and find the original song soooo dreary and mournful, although I do like Celine Dion. I did and I suppose I still do like the original version but it's been SO, SO overplayed for so many years it just does nothing for me anymore. Dan's version revivified the song and brought it to a level I didn't think possible. In all ways Dan gets better and better all the time and continues to impress me with each new drop of a song. Garrett J. Peters was fantastic as well.

I was in my early 20's when the movie came out. I liked Celine's version until it got completely over-played, everywhere. This version however has gone straight to my play list. Yes, I love the nod to the original with the slowing down of the arrange at the end. I'm not sure where Garrett has been hiding prior to this, but holy cow, He Can Shred! Angie, I understand the emotional experience you're talking about. It's a case of "if you know, you know". Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes a completely emotional burden. Great reaction to this now definitive version of this song! The original was just meh to me; it was just boring, blah, a big nothing-burger to me, as was the movie. I do like love songs and romance, but the original version and Titanic just bored me to tears. This one, though, just works on all levels.
