Frankly I haven't seen any real difference except for the visual style of the UI itself which is all in all similar, it doesn't really provide any new tools, nor new ways. So effectively it's just another skin on already existing and working stuff :/ Aaaand this is also a comment for the great gods of youtube to give the vid some traction, you do the good thing with NNs/AI explanation

6:17 isn't it insane how fast we got used to sd? We have the ability to tell a computer something and it'll generate an image for us. Look at that image. All you did was install lots of stuff then type in 6 words - the rest was done by sd. Just a few years back there wasn't even something close to output such an image and yet here we are, disregarding it as "just an old image". I'm excited for the future!

yeah it's insane how normal and rote text to image is now, and how fast we got totally used to having it available. the world hasn't exploded yet, so maybe we're okay. it's nuts how fast a revolution can happen, then everyone can quickly adapt and even be bored by it.

If you want a better understanding of how CFG scale works, it's actually just the interpolation position between your negative prompt and your positive prompt. If I recal correctly, the equation is: neg-embed + (pos-embed - neg-embed)*cfg Which can also be written as: pos-embed*cfg - neg-embed*(cfg - 1) Once I learned this, I was able to use cfg way better with my generations. You really don't need to have a cfg of like 14 or even 7. cfg of 3 is definitely high enough for most cases. If you need stable diffusion to go wild, you can increase it to 4 or 5, but 14 is generally way too much.

I'm a photographer that has mostly been prompt engineering for the most photoreal results I could get. I got it to the point that I didn't think it could get better, then on a whim I switched from CFG7 to CFG3, and the results were magnitudes better. Then I switched from Euler A to DPM++ 2S a Karras and it jumped even farther. But the biggest difference, for me, in photoreal images, was going from the standard recommended 7 down to 3.

@@pedrogorilla483 -- Disregard this, I made an idiotic mistake -- So I've been using it for an hour, and I'm getting some interesting results. Installation is very simple if you've already got A1111 installed - all I really had to do is paste the file paths to my models in Settings>>System paths, and it recognised all of my models, loras, textual inversions etc.... Here's where it gets interesting. Rendering out a single image @ 1024x1024 takes about 1.9 seconds (average) with vlad, and about 8.2 seconds (average) using A1111. That's a staggering difference. Rendering out a batch of 8 images (at the same size) took 10 seconds (average) with vlad, and 1 minute (average) with A1111. If anything, it seems even quicker when it comes to batch rendering. This is all on a 10GB 3080. Here's where it gets really interesting. Because I'm rendering at double the resolution that the models were trained on (1024x1024) I'm getting the usual weirdness in A1111. Double heads, double characters etc. People that have used stable diffusion for a while will know exactly what I'm talking about. Using Vlad, I haven't got a single image with a two headed character, or double subjects. Not even once. That indicates that either something else is going on under the hood that I don't know about, or I have been extremely lucky. Considering that I've already rendered out a couple of hundred pictures, it's supremely doubtful that luck has anything to do with it. Havent't had the time to test control net and some of the other features yet, but so far this has been a brilliant upgrade.

@@juanjesusligero391 I wrote a longer post detailing my findings, but the short answer is it's about 4 times faster at image generation for me on a 3080. Went from 8 seconds per image to 2 seconds. That's in text2img. Strangely, it also seems to fix the problem with double characters or double heads when you render at a higher resolution than 512x512 or 768x768. I have no idea why this is the case, but I'm not complaining! Basically, it has been nothing but positive results for me so far.

@@sebastiankamph Dang, question 1 was the important one lol. When you generate an image it actually renders 3 images. A prompt image, a negative prompt image and a combined image. Somewhere along the combination process, towards the end, it begins to over sharpen and over correct to the point where it breaks/distorts the image. This is reproducible on every a111 version that I am aware of. usually 30+ will make the issue much less noticeable, but when using embeddings and other networks it will still happen. If you go to eular a, set 20 steps, use a strong negative embedding, you will see that the prompt preview image is generally better constructed than the final combined output render.

Main part is Torch2 and sdp auto-installed. You have to manually find that for a1111. So generations are way faster out of the box. And since a1111 stopped updating, who knows what's next.

I installed Automatic111 and it worked fine. So I tried installing Vlad and it's behaving oddly. It seemed to be downloading the checkpoint file for hours. I finally closed out and reopened the GUI and it decided to finish then. Whenever I render an image, it briefly begins to appear in the preview window, then vanishes. I have to go digging in the output images folder to find the final image. Also, I get an error underneath the Show button (beneath the preview window) that says "AttributeError: 'Namespace' object has no attribute 'get'". Any ideas as to how to fix these glitches?

If you have a some computer know how you can update to Torch 2.0 without having to change your Automatic1111 setup. I know pretty much nothing about python and was able to do it relatively easily and get all the SDP and deterministic generation goodness that comes with it.

So I assume it would technically be enough to update to 2.0 (currenlty on 1.13) and get all (or most) of the benefits? Just stumbled across 'Vlad' on the StableDiffusion subreddit, but am hesitant to "abandon ship" cause I've grown accustomed to using Automatic. :D Does updating the Torch version change anything on render results?
@netflixandchinchilla
@netflixandchinchilla Жыл бұрын
@@avon_c6199 I've been trying out Vlad's fork and while there are some really nice things he's doing, I've come across a lot of bugs where A1111 was pretty smooth unless I tried to do something more than my videocard can support. There is a price for bleeding edge development I suppose. But yes, if you want to update A1111 to Torch 2 it is entirely possible. I ran it just fine without the memory optimization flag which I think is a little slower and uses more memory, but it will give you deterministic results where xformers does not. I don't think it changes render results from Torch 1 to 2, but I can't honestly say that I've tested it much.

So basicly it's just a fork of A1111 with useless UI themes ? :/ I'll pass and just wait for Automatic1111 to be back at it or (damn why didn't he did it yet ???) choose some people to review the PRs with him.

I think it was hard to install. I got into a lot of trouble. And the only thing I had to do was make a path to nvidia-smi in system32. Then I got an error for the --half var that normal can be set in the webui.bat file, but here it does not work this way. Vlad got a bit tired of my noob questions. But at the end he helped me out. Now I will try it out for a few days and see how good it is.

I haven't made any detailed tests myself but I saw a test somewhere on Reddit where the base sdp was faster than anything with xformers. sdp reached 42 it/s where xformers were between 20-36, depending on using lowvram/medvram or not. Tested on a rtx 4090.
