@@DragonRyuken777no you actually could go 10k deep and not get the new unit. Df and carnival banners don‘t have the coin. In grand cross you get the unit after 30 multies guaranteed, in legends you can exchange it for coins too. In dokkan you are wrecked if your luck is bad.

@@DragonRyuken777 Digimon ReArise, a game that didn't even have a guaranteed rainbow (the game's equivalent of an SSR), still had a better pity system than Dokkan when they introduced DigiDiamonds. Which function like coins in Dokkan, where you get some every multi. There is no time limit on what's in the Diamond shop, and the new unit's in there the day the banner drops. As a counter to this, units take a bit more Diamonds to get a copy of compared to Dokkan, meaning you have to spend more summon currency. There is also NOT 5 different fuckin' Diamonds, just one for any premium unit. Dokkan's pity system is ***WORSE*** than a game that has been defunct for almost 2 years. There's no fuckin' excuse for Dokkan to be this horrible.

As a player who started Dokkan exactly one year ago I have to say that regardless how meaningless tier lists are, they helped me a lot to understand what to look for in good characters. My biggest issue in the beginning was to find good up to date beginner infos on what events and f2p units to prioritize. Understanding every effect in a units kit in detail is not really an issue for a beginner because attempting the harder content becomes a thing only after multiple months of playing.

I had a global account for the longest time but I switched over to JP. Then news of the sync came around and I was thinking I’d get back to my global account but even starting from what was a decently established low-mid-level account I opened it up after a year or two and was just thinking “fuck man I ain’t grinding all that” You just don’t realize how much shit Dokkan bogs you down with until you’re facing it all at once. EZAs and awakening medals specifically are just exponentially worse the more releases behind you are.

Here’s what I want for a Hidden Potential Revamp. I want there to be paths to allow a chance for type orb changing, and equipment for rainbow orb changing. I want Type DEF boost to have 1% damage reduction added too it. I want Type ATK boost to have a 1% chance to perform a critical hit. I want Super ATK boost to have a chance to perform an additional attack. I want dodges percentage upgraded to 1.5% instead of 1%, . I want additional attacks percentage of proc lowered to 1.5% instead of 2% and always become a Super ATK (unless sealed). *New Passive Skill Format example* -Start of Turn: Ki +3, ATK & DEF +200% -Super ATK: ATK & DEF +100% Allies: Ki +3, ATK & DEF +30% for “Future Saga” -HP: ATK & DEF +100% >50% HP -Abilities: 50% chance to perform an additional Super ATK; 30% chance to perform a critical hit; damage reduction +30%; dodge chance +30% -Turn: ATK & DEF +100% for 3 turns *Friend System Remake* Using cards from friend list offer chance to link level friend characters, reduce stamina usage, and offer a percentage for reward boost for events. Offer duplicate character option which give no buffs. I might edit this, but this is my set of solutions for game issues.

I feel the best thing Dokkan can do for new players is to give you a functioning team to use to get you started. Have specific missions like Get PHY XYZ Goku to level 80, Awaken goku to UR, ETC. and have a detailed little ingame guide on each step. Explain how the leader skill functions. Give rewards for each step to them progress to the next. Have a "Intro" Story to beat where you get a F2P LR of some kind to introduce the concept of LR rarity. and then Have a few longer goal missions like, Get X units to UR and Level 120. etc to slowly show people how to get to each mode. And ontop of that is to have a more condensed menu. I dont like having to scroll for like 5 minutes to find a specific mission to do LOL. one thing it should teach during all of that is how to look at what medals a unit needs and explaining you can long press to bring up the event to get them from to take you to it. its so handy. Overall I can see dokkan not being new player friendly. But they can work around it by having good Tutorial.

I think the tier lists would be more valuable if you would sort them into categories like - Leaders - Performance - Special events (like WT) - Overall value ..or so, since those lists are mostly helpful for newer players who don't have the experience or knowledge of the game yet. At least that were tier lists in Dokkan for me when i started. To be fair tho Str Gogeta just released a few weeks later on JP when i started and all tier lists were him on top and the call was to save until he comes out on Global, but now the game is more complex and leader skills for example have very different values. Hirudegarn for example performs great, but his leader skill is meh so he would be s+ in performance and leader for example a or b and overall value as villain a or b tier...

Things like red zone or high end challenges should have special equips they give you, where it gives something really good to any unit you put it on, like guaranteed guard or guaranteed effective against all types, or a % boost. Say its broken, but its a PvE game. It would allow a lot of fun builds and a good reward for the challenge.

Hidden potential system idea: for future units, add a way for us to obtain an item or equipment that changes a part of their passive. An example of that is the new Toppo, let me choose whether I want him to change int orbs or have him do something else like extra damage reduction or add another supper to his kit, that’s a good way for them to add extra layers into team building without fundamentally changing the team building system

Goresh's point with #10 is valid so long as the support around said character is capable. If space-traveling warriors was a god team, Frieza's design would be unique but also functional. BUT the current state of the game only allows for saiyans to have unique designs, but the saiyans keep getting the generally better kits.

Honestly, I do agree that general quality of life updates are probably better for most players than a friend system update. I say this as a F2P player who has played daily since the 4th anni, I very seldomly run into an issue where the current friend system does not give me a usable option, it's not great but it nowhere affects me as much as someone like truth that has to have these leaders to pump out videos. Like I would say the 2 best updates the game has had are the activate all HP nodes button and the ability to eza a character in one step.

Speaking of the friend system, the way I would try fixing it is, instead of copying your leader like most people want, I would instead make it so that it copies the actual leader skill of the leader you are running, while also allowing the friend unit to be ran under whatever your leader skill is (similar to Dragon Ball Legends' leader slot system). That way people have the freedom to run any leader they want and anybody can set their friend unit to anything they want as well. This is just an idea that I had that I thought could be interesting. I'd also like to hear your thoughts about some ideas you might have for the game in a separate video as it would be nice to see in detail what you think about these problems.

The hidden potential additional should be revamped already. For crits if it procs it procs and dodge too but for additional it can proc and be a normal, why especially considering the fact a lot of units alr have them built in, this would help a lot of units defensively and offensively.

Take: what do you guys think of upgrading the hidden potential system by also including link levels into the system. For example if you have link level 10s you have the option to give your character an ability besides additional crit and evasion. Such as rainbow orb change, guard, damage reduction, team support, bigger bonuses being type advantage, bigger self healing, etc. what do you guys think? Edit: another reason I would like to see link levels added is because it would promote players to actually play the game. I would also love missions for link leveling characters to reward the player by actually playing.

Honestly wish the hidden potential system had more unique orbs DR per skill(bronze/silver/gold each having a set amount of DR that can stack) Small percentage of defense and offense per super that can stack with already stacking supers Life steal Orbs that allow you to get higher link stats in game Etc

I feel like putting damage reduction on the potential system as like maybe a 5th path option would be great for a few reasons. Damage reduction is almost needed to compete in the new events and with a fifth path that raises the stats of the characters, it could potentially revamp dead units that you have 8 dupes of at this point with nothing to do with them

Goresh saying the units should have their own identity is totally true. Every unit now is guard, DR, additional, crit on active, supports team. Like the premium units are all just a mix of 5/7 of strong abilities. Maybe not the best example, but STR Kaioken Blue Goku was one of my favorite releases because of his unique play style. It was fun to build a team around supporting that style.

That would be too broken, and dokkan probably wouldn't do it since It would change the games meta. Like giving raise def on super on additional attacking character like beast gohan would be absurd.

With regard to take 9 I guess he's referring to all the different events that overwhelmingly fill the challenge section with no reason whatsoever, also considering that they're basically the same repeated event with little changes to what the eventual bosses do (whether it be locking rotations, sealing and so on). As an example supreme battle spectacle and red zone are considered different only because of the boss roster you're facing, but in the end it is the same type of content. Hirudegarn's red zone event along with the other bosses should have been added to the movie red zone event as additional stages, just like movie red zone boss rush was. Personally, I would give you one more take: it's a shame that interesting formats like collection of epic battles have been forgotten like this, they should have kept publishing worldwide celebration battles under this category of event instead of making each time a supposedly new game mode that is nothing different than anything we already have. If they were only to keep adding stronger bosses (like they're doing) they could simply add a new stage of the same event with an higher difficulty tier, like they did with cell max on 9th anniversary.

The ONLY hidden potential system buff we NEED is a similar Naruto Ninja Blazing ability feature. An in game resource to unlock paths without requiring a very difficult copy hunt. the hidden potential system update i dream of would be kind of complicated, i want it to be like an arpg, like a diablo skill tree, although to simplify this, for example all characters named “Goku” would have the same skill tree although “Super Saiyan Goku” would have a different one, this could help buff f2p units. most nodes would have small buffs, dmg received reduced by 1.5% on one node for example, just simple things like that, this would be based on exp so you have to use a character multiple times to fully get all the nodes activated.

Novel time. - Take 1: I agree. I hadn't really thought of the hidden potential system needing a revamp.. but yeah.. I can get on board. - Take 2: Not more than some gameplay adjustments, but yes.. either give us some new summons, or mix in some different animations so it's not the exact same thing every day, or something.. The Bot comments 100% I agree with. If you can't summon.. then damn.. that's too bad for you I guess.. *Shrug Emoji* - Take 3: Coming back to farm up F2P stones after taking a break, is a huge W. I think they've been doing well with content. the big celebrations have brought what they've needed to, so.. - Take 4: That's what the F2P units are for.. and all the GSSR's at the end of each summon are *MOSTLY ALWAYS* Old ass units. That's enough to ease into, IMO. The game is coming up on *10 YEARS OLD* And there are still 2 different versions.. you have 6 or 7 YEARS worth of units to summon to learn the game. The only thing that's going to help, is them to start simplifying some of these stat boosts.. Do we NEED "High Chance"? Just put 70% Chance, 60%, or whatever. It starts there, I think.. cause you're right.. it's just straight up word vomit. - Take 5: I don't fully agree with his point, but I certainly am one of those "Collector" types, so I can see where he's coming from. The units need to at least work with the current events.. but the pre-planning of "We release X unit today, X is dog water now.. BUT. In 4 months from now, when we drop Y Unit, holy shit they will be semi-runnable since they got power crept a bit." ... this kind of stuff needs to stop. - Take 6: I fully agree with Goresh. Bleach Brave Souls is one to look at for it (As you mentioned). I can play it on my PC, and my phone. I can stream it a lot easier from my PC, if I would so chose. No cord issues, nothing. It's just there ready to go. If the Global Sync would bring a PC port, it would be a killer on steam. - Take 7: I kind of agree with Goresh here.. that MV scene you showed for the support memory looked a lot better than that active for the LR did.. you kind of proved his point. - Take 8: 100%. Next. (I just love the heat they always bring with them. LMAO) - Take 9: Idk what he means here.. - Take 10: I sort of agree with Goresh. I think it would bring a new way to look at the game. However, I mean, with Villains in the state they are currently in, the whole Extreme Category almost needs its own playstyle anyway. Honestly, Villains are designed to *Supposedly* be a bit tanky and deal DAMAGE damage (Ex: AGL LR Broly), where as the Heros have the revives, damage reductions and dodging.. I don't think I'm wrong, but if I am, please let me know. TBH, if they were similar to Bleach Brave Souls, where units are made to help FARMING IN GAME RESOURCES, would be a HUGE change for Dokkan. - Take 11: 100%. Next. (That Freiza banner might be one of the worst banners ever released. It's WAY up there.) - Take 12: A number doesn't exist for how real this point is. - Take 13: I mean.. free stones are free stones. However, now it'll be interesting to see how they tackle this when the merge happens. JP used to get a large amount of stones if they hit top grossing (from what I recall), so.. will that number still be high after? will it still be "X Stones per country"? or will it be "X Stones per country PLUS JP Top Grossing stones". Time will tell, but it wasn't a good bad thing. I bet you it got more people to spend a little bit of money to be able to summon for Character XYZ.

4:49 Honestly, it wouldn't be too bad with the modders if they would at least change their unit to someone useful. If you mod to reroll for toppo, then once you pull him, use him as your friend. That is how i always do it when i use mods, i set my friend to whoever the newest unit is that i pull, or a unit who's team i love to run

19:45 Imo this is faulting by the way schedules are structured for major celebrations and it all started with 1 year anniversary and plus anniversary should include a villain sometimes. Imo if Janemba and gogetas kit was swapped people would of still summoned for gogetas banner more. I think making it so villains barely get support aged badly when they don't link well, or need certain units etc. Why is it you would summon for a villain character when they age out faster nowadays?

The whole learning curve thing is 100% true I can’t imagine being new and then seeing that for just a single unit you have to grind SA level, hidden potential , eza, now super eza, summon the unit and get 5 copies overall, level up (something us elder players forget how hard it used to be as new accounts), and then the entirety of link leveling being basically required for extreme units All that to get 1 unit max That’s is legends tiers of grinding which really is not good

honestly summon skipping has never been something i've really been needing. it takes so little time to go through a multi and only really benefits people doing a metric fuck ton of summons. i wouldn't be opposed to having it though.

The animations being the same for years is the bigger problem. Have more variations in the animations and the stuff that happens. Like the goku black rift is sick imo so why not have more stuff like that? It would make the multis more exciting

Some people go a bit crazy for content ( especially those that think every celebration needs to be like anniversary) But it is a fact that 90% of normal celebrations are really boring and usually give no reason for you to play

One of the things I disagree with most is that functionality in events doesn’t matter and it’s only good animations plus collection that matter. What good is collecting the character and them having good animations if you can’t ever use the character and see the animations because they aren’t good enough to run in the content available to us! There is a very fine line between good animations and viability. I think the subpar animations for the wwdc vegito blue unit wouldn’t have hit so hard if the kit of the blue boys was much better. When you have subpar animations in tandem with bad kits is where you get a lot of salt from the community.

I think some better word clarity for passives and supers would be good. Ex. Instead of great change to dodge, just put the chance percentage.

Dokkan refuses to do a 'mirror-friend' update. And, they know the best way to solve it and they still don't do it for whatever reason. Dokkan being old doesn't work, because they have the team, resources, and money for it. At this point, I can only think there's something behind as to why Dokkan doesn't want to do it, but it's 100% what the game needs the most.

Top grossing rewards is good, as a low to pay player I like when we get that extra little something. Makes me feel like I’m helping the game succeed and they appreciate it
