If you can get the Biscoff cookie butter, definitely do!! If not, just get the regular cookies, they are good with chocolate but I like them better without.

If Doug likes gummies, he should buy strawberry laces and Haribo star mix. (You can get them in any supermarket.) If you like chocolate digestives, caramel chocolate digestives are God tier. Also, Monster Munch - you'll find them in the crisp aisle. Galaxy chocolate bars are superior to Dairy Milk. Terry's chocolate orange - a Christmas institution in the UK. Celebrations - box or pack of mini chocolates

Bourbon Biscuits with a nice cup of tea or coffee are heaven. Also, Fox's Viennese Biscuits, Milk Chocolate Hob-Nobs and Mint Viscounts.

The original orange Jaffa cakes are the more nostalgic ones that people love and crave. Some normal biscuits might be good aswell like nice, rich tea, custard cream milk (and in Icelands the coconut rings, they're so good!)

You should definitely try the tunnocks tea cakes- chocolate covered whipped cream with a soft biscuit like base really good, shaped like a dome

With cookies like the Cadbury Crunchy Melts, I recommend heating them up in the microwave for 10 seconds! No more otherwise it’ll melt too much, just enough so the chocolate is warm and the cookie is soft! My cousin taught me this trick and I’ve being doing it ever since!

So happy you’re here in the U.K. 😃. Bourbons and milk chocolate hobnobs are my fav biscuits. If Doug/his brother love sweets (candy) you need to get Percy pigs (only sold in Marks and Spencer). Also, if you’re still in Bath, Colonna & Small's does the best coffee and Hare & Hounds is my fav pub for Sunday roast or fish and chips 👌🏼

Practically any UK snack is a must 😭 if you go to wales maybe try a welsh cake. It’s basically a scone with raisins (or stuff like chocolate) (Edit: if you do end up there please be aware we have slightly different covid rules to England ❤️ there currently basically the same but things can change at any moment- stay safe yall)

Ah yes the annoying and confusing convid rules difference between us. A big chunk of my family lives in Wales (my grandma is Welsh) and we'd like to go see them but the constantly changing rules make picking a date a nightmare. I also agree on the Welsh cakes. You've been able to get them in England too now for the past couple of years although they're not as good as fresh. They're also pretty easy to make if she wanted to try.

You MUST get chocolate digestives. Dark or milk chocolate is fine as they are both GREAT. For gummies, try haribo tangfastics. They are like sweet and sour gummies

Omggg digestives dipped in tea are my favourite evening snack! Also sour cream pretzels are great :D You should get some sticks of rock! I don't know where they do them, but you can typically find a ton of flavours! Like chocolate brownie or cookie dough, to licorice and strawberry

You should try all butter shortbread (Marks and spenser/M&S) also a sausage roll from Greggs!! Gregs is like a chain of bakeries that is a British institution - its not the best but its something you should do while in the UK!

SALT AND VINEGAR TYRRELLS I’m English American and I used to live in America but now I live in England. Tyrrells are my go to crisps/chips they’re so good. Salt and vinegar are my favorite but ready salted are second best in my opinion

Ginger nuts are very nice (especially with tea) the sour cream pretzels are really nice and digestives and really nice especially the plain ones. Eccles cakes from Tesco’s and Waitrose are really nice

My mom's Belgian friend introduced us to Biscoff cookies and I've never been so in love with a snack! Its called something else in Belgium (can't remember the name) and she eats them by dipping them in coffee and putting them between pieces of white bread like a sandwich. She says it's delicious!

I know u tried the bakery teacakes, but u CANNOT leave the UK without trying the authentic tunnocks teacakes!! Theyre the best! And u have to get og Jaffa cakes as well, instead of the new blackcurrant ones. Idk if u have these in America, but try pombears and hula hoops, they're both crisp brands. Get custard creams, jammy Dodgers and digestives for biscuits. Hope these helps!

For chocolatey stuff I’d recommend: curlywurlys , mini rolls (the original ones) and the plain Jaffa cakes. For crisp: monster munch, skips, space raiders, quavers or Wotsits. forgot these I recommend get rolos then put them in the fridge and leave them for a day Then eat them they taste ten time better

Dairy milk Oreo bars are a personal favourite of mine, along with custard cream biscuits and Mr Kipling Angel Cakes. They’re amazing, also dipping chocolate digestives in tea is the best thing in the world

Mr. Kipling Frosty's! They're like Vanilla Cake Cube size with thin vanilla icing coating and some cream on top, drizzled with more vanilla icing. Delicious! Love from Canada, I just know this dessert from an English family I knew.

I lived off mcvitties chocolate and caramel digestives for a solid chunk of my life but I'd also say grab what looks interesting and fits your tastes. There was a Cadbury bar that they no longer make (as far as I can tell) that I tried on a whim and it's still in my top five favorite candies even if I can't find it anymore.
