According to the National Building Regulations, no newly built home may be less than 30m2 and no habitable room other than a kitchen scullery or laundry, may be less than 6m2.
Before any work can take place on a building site, the site will need to be surveyed by a land surveyor, who will plot out the site boundaries using pegs, and survey the sites contours.
