You just summed up The Rings of Power perfectly! It's one of, if not, the most beautiful show I've ever seen. Yet the story was terrible, it completed disregarded almost every bit of LotR lore known to man, had characters doing/saying things that were completely OUT OF CHARACTER, and in the end you have a show that was absolutely mediocre at best, airing at the same time as a show where the showrunners don't hate the source material - House of the Dragon. Which blew it so far out of the water, it almost ended up in Valinor!

There are good movies even tooday. The only diffrence is that the ammount of movies are WAYY langer so good ones slip trought the cracts and dont get discovered as easily. Here are few I would recomend watching: 1. Platform (Liked the idia and hiden message) 3. The circle (good take on people views, it has ALOT of psichological dilemas) 4. Sin city, Sin city 2 A dame to kill for (both amazing bad-@$$ movies) 5. For love or money? (Good romantic comedy made from mens perspective for once) 6. Aladin (new one) 7. Hazbin Hotel (cartoon with incredible depth, nearly damn perfect music and amazing story!!) 8. Attack on titat (Anime masterpiece with amazing story) 9. Ready player one (movie every gamer should see!) There are still good movies made. The difference is that they get lonst in mass of movies/films/cartoons/anime made these days

Although Bill Murray did improvise a lot, he was still going off of what was written in the script, he just tweaked the words a bit. Many of the other actors did the same thing. Sigourney Weaver's line "You don't act like a scientist, you're more like a gameshow host" was an ad lib, as she was supposed to say "you are more like a used car salesman". Most of Rick Moranis's party speech was ad libbed, and it was all done in one take.

The 80s was the best time to be young. The movies, the music, the crazy fashion. Anyone who grew up with computers and cellphones has really been robbed of a decent childhood. And every generation is gonna have it worse

I wish they had actually done a remake rather than a reimagining. What a memorable film from childhood.

Bill Murray is one of those actors who can ad-lib an entire movie, and it'll be better than anything the writers could've come up with. Just give that guy a scene and let him run with it; he'll make it work. Actually, that's basically how they made "Caddyshack" now that I think about it.

I was 12 that year. Spent the night at a friend’s house and his older brother took us to see that in Denton, TX. It was SOOO PACKED, people were sitting in the isle and standing along the sides of the theater walls!! The ppl exceeded the maximum capacity of the room, but the theater didn’t care. They just kept selling MORE TICKETS! Thanx Chris V. 🤣🤣🤣
