In 2013’s The Wolverine, Logan’s companion Yukio, a mutant who can see the future, predicts that Logan will die with his chest ripped open, with his heart in his hand. Although this doesn’t go on to happen in that movie, this one does line up with her prediction in a way. Logan’s death does see him impaled on the roo ts of a tree, meaning his chest is ripped open. As for his heart being in his hand, his final moments see him holding the hand of his daughter, Laura/X-23, meaning his “heart” could be interpreted as who he loves or his flesh and blood.

The sickness of his healing, was also effected by the poison in the other movie. He never got 100% cured.

The sickness in his healing had to do with adamantium poisoning he was suffering very slowly since they coated his skeleton. This has been covered in the comics many times. The funniest part is if he didn’t get that procedure done he would have reverted to an animal type character just like his brother Sabertooth did. (Edit) they were not related in the comics only the movies

@@tuanzixiao3666 ok so basically if they didn’t do that procedure to Wolverine he would have de-evolved and reverted into a more animal type character like Sabertooth. (Edit) his healing factor was too busy fighting the adamantium poisoning for his powers to de-evolve him like it did to Victor aka Sabertooth. Sabertooth started off more like Logan like how they show him in X-Men Origins Wolverine. But by the time we get to X-Men 1 Sabertooth is not very human like anymore. He is quiet and follows orders more like an animal would. Treated like a dog by Magneto. But in Origins he doesn’t play well with others and doesn’t listen to orders as much and talks all the time. Has his own agenda just does a complete 180 and de-evolves into Sabertooth.

The government were tainting food with a modified anti mutant gene compound that suppressed and eliminated mutant powers. Richard E Grant says it out loud, with words. Adamantium poisoning is a symptom of that not the cause.😊

@@fulres01 ok so it is possible that the creators of Logan were aware of this line and set up the death scene so it could be interpreted this way. Or maybe it was totally coincidental. But just because the scene was made after doesn’t mean this wasn’t the intention.

Her prophecy was directly fulfilled later in The Wolverine where he flatlines on an operating table performing self-surgery with his hand inside his chest, on his heart.

yup, it is a cool easter egg but no Logan's death in Logan was not at all foreshadowed to or related to the vision in Wolverine. Yukio just was predicting his temporary death within that film. I mean his hand was literally with his heart in his hand in Wolverine.

Logan as a film was 4 years apart and multiple films in betweeen. when Wolverine was written not only did the direct not write the screen play but he also had no idea he would be doing the Logan film or directing Logan’s actual death, he could not have predicted it. He retroactivity wrote it into Logan It was not originally written to be foreshadowing for Logan from Wolverine anymore than Leia being Luke’s sister is written into return of the jedi from a new hope

They had Logan live a long and fulfilled life full of adventures and tragedies, rather killed him off as a feeble old man that gave one last fight instead of killing him off while he’s still on top or in his prime like iron man or Superman

They are so focused on the team up blockbusters that they have forgotten why the original Avengers movies did so well - or just dont care out of greed. It's because most of the characters had grounded, personal stories which made us care for them, and why it was so awesome to see them come together

In comics after the death of Logan due to his slow healing because of Adamantium in his body he was buried but no he never really died. It took Logan over 40 years to fully recover the damage caused to his body by Adamantium and he returned stronger than ever. WOLVERINE NEVER DIES🔥

Actually the prediction did happen in the movie. He had to cut his chest open and grab the squid robot thingy attached to his heart that suppressed his powers (how did that thing work anyway?) When he removed it, he died for like a solid minute until he's healing factor kicked in and brought him back.

Technically yes Old Timeline: everyone is pretty much dead New Timeline: Everyone is alive and prospering (post Days of Future Past) Logan and New Mutants... Logan has some unchanged aspects from all the timelines: From when he was born to WWII he and Victor was always together. He happens to be in a bar in 63' where Charles and Erik come to recruit him, but failed. He still was in the Weapon X Program but it has changed on how it happened. He was a cage fighter before he and Rouge was picked up by Storm and Scott. The Statue of Liberty incident happens. He goes to Tokyo cause of his samurai sword being present. What differs is that there hasn't been a Mutant born in 25 years proceeding Logan and the Black Ops Government Alkali Transigen had grown new Mutants in their lab, but as weapons. Like they wouldn't want them falling into the hands of potential enemies or going rouge like they did.

@@Default-gf4zf By technicality, The X-Men are all dead in the Old Timeline and Logan. The New Timeline hadn't been looked into since Days of Future Past 2023. And though all the other X-Men films that weren't Logan and New Mutants were in the New Timeline but they were pre 2023.

Supposedly in Deadpool 3, Deadpool will be rescuing Logan before he dies in 2029 using Cables time travel device. However, on the way back in time they get drawn into the MCU. Supposedly will be a much angrier Wolverine than we have seen previously.
