every shark in the jaws movies roars: 1) when Orca is sinking and right before the gas tank is being thrown inside of Bruce's mouth, you cn clearly hear him roar, 2) when an unconscious Mike Brody is barely being dragged back into the boat from out of the water, you can clearly hear the shark roar while swiftly passing by the boat and narrowly missing Mike Brody, 3) if you listen very carefully, whenever the gigantic mother shark appears from the murky water and shows off her jaws, you can hear some sort of roar, 2) the Bahamas are less than 2,000km away from Amity Island ... I heard that in some cases Great Whites can swim up to 500 km a day ... that's only 4 days, ... Jake argues with Mike Brody for being behind schedule on their research and complains it's Xmass' Eve and they have to do overtime ... the shark doesn't appear until the day of New Years Eve (since they're at the casino celebrating Newyear and it happened the day before) ... even if we seriously lowball everything by saying the time gap between Sean being killed and them returning back to the Bahamas only takes 1 day as a whole, which is pretty much impossible since they also attended Sean's funeral during that time (things like that take time to organize), this means the shark had a time frame of at least from Christmass Eve all the way to New Years Eve give or take to make the cross from Amity to the Bahamas, which is at least a week ... a Great White could've easily made that cross in half that amount of time ... I know it's a movie so we shouldn't needlessly overcomplicate things, but even if you wish to do so, it's far from impossible or even improbable ...

Yeah the alternate ending being Jake is dead he doesn't come back the shark kills him and eats and then it gets killed by being impaled on the front of the boat and bleeding out and killed.

Number of kills shouldn't matter in a horror film. It should be how well executed the horror actually is. Way too many horror movies today focus too much on high body counts that the characters literally exist only to be killed. People dying isn't what makes a horror movie scary, it's people we don't want to die getting killed that makes it scary. Can't tell you how much i don't care about all the idiots that get offed because they were so paper thin a wet paper knife could still cut through.

They themselves can still be good films, so long as they execute their material strongly, and some (like Friday 13th Part 2 and 4) strike a balance between characters you care about, and a high body count to keep the audience on their toes! Comparatively, Jaws: The Revenge suffers from the fact that I only care about 1 of the deaths, that being Shaun’s, but only because of the previous continuity (of which this film actually ignores a part of, that being Jaws 3) of the series. The other kill was a cop-out so they could make the audience think they were going to kill the kid (which would have been a damn good reason for Ellen to actually go after the shark, but I guess a near encounter was enough for her to flip the bucket, then again, this film is about a shark hunting a family in the Bahamas, why should it make sense?) and Jake’s is just a cop-out because depending on which version you watch, he doesn’t even die! So frankly, I would have preferred some cardboard characters for Vengeance to chew on, would have livened up the proceedings a little!

I read the book to this and it’s funny that you mentioned supernatural because in the book the shark was after the Brody’s because Michael did something that caused a voodoo curse to be put on him and his family hence why the shark was after them.

Well baded on the Jaws The Revenge novel *(yes there's a novel to this piece of shit)* it is given a explanation as to why the shark is seeking revenge on the remaining members of the Brody family and that's because a voodoo witch doctor had performed a sacred ritual that ended in the result of having gain control of the shark in the movie to go and kill the rest of the remaining family considering since it's all narrowed down to where it's going after them because it's under a voodoo spell and the witch doctor only because Martin Brody from the first two movies that being Jaws and Jaws 2 had killed the two previous sharks and Michael killing the shark in Jaws 3D aka Jaws 3. *Like I said it's a dumb explanation as to why the shark in the fourth movie is seeking revenge against out on the Brody family but then it probably makes more sense then say evil druid cultists using the mark of Thorn to control and use Michael Myers to kill his remaining family.

Definitely not. Jaws 3 is a total B-Movie, and watched under that perspective, is actually rather enjoyable. It’s my favourite Jaws sequel by far, I always enjoy watching it, I actually think there’s more good than bad to it, despite those absolutely awful special effects.

This is worse than Jaws 3 and Jaws 2 Combined!

One thing that used to piss me off about 3 and 4 was the fact that Michael continued to work in the ocean after what happened to him when he was younger. However seeing all of these shark documentaries where people have lost limbs to sharks but still go surfing and ocean swimming just made me realize that there are people that stupid in the world.

And even he knew the movie would tank.

I remember being ill as a kid watching this opening scene on TV where his arm was gone and he's screaming for help...
