i played it first on normal mode.. platinumed it, then went on to replay in kurosawa. First play through, you're looking at a beautiful masterpiece of a game. In kurosawa mode, it's a beautiful masterpiece of a movie.

The only problem I have with Kurosawa mode is not being able to tell the difference between parryable attacks and unblockable attacks, but that’s not really a problem once you learn all of the movesets

Sucker punch needs to make more samurai games and scenic games like this. This game has to good of features for the technology not to be used again. The natural guide to objectives, the minimum hud with no compass, smooth combat, different cinematic modes, and super extensive environmental interactions are just a few of the amazing features this game brought to gaming. I am super excited to play on pc for the first time and with the ai enhanced lip sync for Japanese dialogue I think this will be a candidate for top 3 games of all time for myself. I hope there is a follow up or a new story from mainland Japan with a larger map and more extensive story.

The game was about how awesome samurai are - every Kurosawa (excluding ones without them of course) is about how much they suck

I used it for fights like the heavenly strike or whatever and I loved that.

It’s a really cool mode but for me this games biggest strength is the colours, graphics and cinematography using colours and light which can’t really experienced in the mode
