Even though I only have a limited understanding of the language, I enjoy listening to Spanish music stations. One day, I heard a great song with a very familiar guitar riff. Now, I'm not saying Steve Vai copied the riff, but I discovered that the Spanish song came out years before Steve's did. It made me wonder how many bands that do world tours get "inspired" by the local music when they're on the road. Music that (they hope) fans in their home countries might never have heard.
