Did you know putting a Dreamcast disc into a CD player gives you a strange and intimidating message? My PS2 definitely didn't take kindly to me wanting to play my Dreamcast racing game.

I've only recently knew this and it blew my mind - then I thought if you got thoughs 2000 CD samplers the ones you try out the music with head phones and put ps1 disks would be a epic idea

That also works if you put a ps1 format disc in a Sega dreamcast

Also a key thing that not much people know about, (I came across it as a kid like 5 or 6 years old) I was playing matt hoffmans pro bmx and while in the middle of a level I swapped the disc out with wwf smackdown 2 know your role and it would play the songs of superstars as the soundtrack for matt hoffman

Twisted Metal and THPS were clutch for this. Brought them on road trips for this very reason.

Accidentally found this feature when I wanted to know what would it do if I put Ps1 game on a CD player. Regardless if it messed up the disk. Needless to say, I was happily rocking out when I put in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Love the soundtrack on it!

Yep. I think because I discovered a new tech to me for the time. It was called a CDPlayer. I thought cassette tapes were the only option, until I got a CDPlayer. I think it was more of a this has a silver/chrome look, I wonder if the black disc will work. Kids today are spoiled. Tech evolves at an alarming rate. Especially if you grew up with no thumb sticks on a PS1. And then forgetting to turn them on in a game.

Not many PS1 titles could be used this way. I tried this many years ago and none of my PS1 games worked. However, almost all early release Sega Saturn games would work this way if you skipped track 1.
