Didim, located in Aydin province. Due to its location along the Aegean Sea, this city has become one of the most popular tourist destinations among travelers.
The beautiful blue sea beach makes the Mediterranean climate and warm winters of this region very suitable for water sports and also the historical attractions that have remained in this city from the past until now have made it a very attractive city.

Nice to see Altinkum again , used to go with my sister and mother , but sadly both passed away. Thanks for the memories , it has certainly changed.

It's so weird seeing how much Altinkum has developed over the years. I used to go with my family in the early 2000's, last time I went was maybe 2009. It looks the same yet so different.

Same also, mid 90's to early 2000 I went many times with family. 2002 I will always remember because of the Soham murders. We were in an apartment when the news broke on TV. Some of the highlights in general for me were: Boat trips (Albatross?) Dolphin Square Ege Bar, Swan Bar Shopping Center Beach I think it was popular among the Brits because it was inexpensive and had lots of bars/restaurants, but I'm told a lot of them have been changed for shops or apartments.

Didim deniz olarak kumsal olarak egedeki en iyi yerlerden,Altınkum plajı dünyada ki en iyi plajlar arasında,havası da çok güzel Didimin,ancak sahildeki işletmelerin kalitesi düşük maalesef,türkü barlar yerine yabancı turistlere hitap eden yerlerin sayısının artması lazım,bir de sahilin tam merkezinde vakıflar genel müdürlüğüne ait arazi var o alanın turizm için çok iyi değerlendirilmesi gerekir.

Can’t believe how Altinkum has changed .We first visited more than 30 years ago when it was just a few dusty streets and hardly any hotels or shops. The people were wonderful .We stayed at The Azzaro . I made friends with a smashing lad called Adem who worked at The Park Hotel . Sadly we lost touch after some years and i will always wonder what became of him . We drank at The Beer Bank and ate at Robin Hoods on the corner at the beach front..probably long gone . Those were good days.
