My mum died of cancer awhile back and this was her favorite song it was played at her funeral. Every time I hear it I tear up. for years I didn't listen to it as it just caused me pain. Thank you dido for making my mother happy.

When I was young my family didn’t have Internet, but there was an old big home phone. I was really fond of Dido. To listen to her songs, I called my dad at work, he turned on her songs and put his phone to the computer. It was amazing time, thank you, Dido.

Way to make a guy jump back to Xmas '06 in Reno. My friends were called for at least 6 hours per day for the week my family stayed at my uncles. 5.5/6 hours were the songs they played on the boombox by the phone with the other 1/2 hour being requests of what to play next XD I'm only now realizing how self-centered and selfish I may have seemed to some people considering Indonesia did just have that Tsunami on Xmas day.... What a selfless song. From the video, it looks like he’s still just as in love with her as she is, or at least wishes her well. Who knows? But at the end of the day, it is true that in some cases like this, two people who do deeply love each other shouldn’t be together for their own sakes. It may not have been infidelity or something terrible that tore them apart, but whatever it was can’t be forgotten and may not be able to be mended. Or they just weren’t a good match. So she pretends to move on despite how much she loves him and is very graceful about it to keep them both from getting hurt further. Love this.

No, she isn't underrated because she was a huge pop idol in her generation (early 00's). But then, she decided to take a brake and make a family. When she came back, a lot of new singers like...yes, the Taylors, the Katys and Mileys took her place. Now Dido's albums are just a bunch of masterpieces on nostalgia trips. World changes and keeps spinning everyday, bro. And even the pop stars couldn't escape from that.

This song was the first song I heard when I came to America after being adopted at age 8 from China. I heard this in a Home Depot store and I immediately wanted to know who sang this; such a beautiful angelic voice. It took me a year to find the artist, at the time when Shazam wasn’t a thing and KZfaq had just started.

I went through my divorce in 2007 and this was what was playing. We had a 3 year daughter and I was absolutely devastated. Her voice takes me back to those moments when I didn't think I could ever get through. My daughter left for college this week and she's thriving. We made it and Dido voice feels like my inner strength now talking to me. Pretty fucking awesome ; - )

Yes. I ended up as a single dad. My daughter finished uni and has a great life now and is happy. We can do it man, and once through the storm, life can be better than it ever was . Love of our child is above all else there is.

I miss my life as an early teen in the 00’s. Life was so much easier. Dido was the soundtrack of my life even if I didn’t understand all the feelings she expressed so beautifully through her music. Oh, I if I could only turn back time and choose different paths...coulda shoulda woulda, right?! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway, Dido is incredible. I love her music.
