RULES:
Each driver has a chance to qualify for the best track time! Only 16 drivers will qualify for the tournament. if a driver does not record a track time after 3 laps or 2 DNFs he will be disqualified, best of luck!

Absolutely added to the immersion--if you listen closely, Doug, you get little cues and hints in the SFX before the car finally quits

They really do work a treat and shake up the action here--I want to say the jumps are a Spool Heads Racing design, but don't quote me on that.

The last chance for each car to run solo is a genius move. I hardly saw much interference among the pairs as they ran together on the track. Proving that different does not equal bad in the hobby---eP showed us all a new way with this!

I think it's more entertaining this way. You get to see a "race" before the actual race. And I agree with Chris about the last chance solo lap...very cool move.

I'm not a builder but ... the 2 races plus a Last Chance gives every car a chance to post a time, plus we get to see 2 races - very original format for qualifying - loving it!

@@richardmorgan9273 also, if a car fails to "win" one of the two chances in pairs -racing- qualifying, that's a strong indicator that it was not going to place in the top 16. Still had that solo run to do something though

Not the best time for Outlaw but I take comfort in knowing we had a huge lead on the number 3 qualifier before crashing. Here’s to hoping we get some clean runs going forward. Congrats to all the qualifiers.

Welp uh my escort has the distinction of putting the slowest time ever recorded on this track. I own that record with passion however and now I know to better secure my axels for next time. @@Chris_Hood I cut out the middle of the interior and thought the parts that keep it in in place would be enough but it seems it wasn’t as I could tell the wheels were rubbing on the body of the car, well I know for next time

@@kingjester564 with added weight, yeah the little forks of the interior piece isn't enough alone to keep those axles rigid if you've gone and removed the clips originally holding the axles. Lessons learned, _Keep Pushing_ ! I'll look for you in upcoming events!

The funnel was very tight for this one. Looks like the field size exceeded expectations. The final phase is guaranteed to be highly competitive.

Makes for super competitive match ups in the tournament itself!! There's more chance for a lower seed to prevail compared to a 32 car bracket (Although when it happens in a bigger field, *WOW* 😉)

Another well constructed TT video! Love the sound effects and music. The highlighting on the leaderboard helps visualize what is going on as well. Busy leaderboard with 32 cars on it!! Must have been challenging keeping it sorted by fastest times after each round 😜

That's something I feel the average viewer might miss, all the work it really takes to get so many elements balanced during editing! It's a shame the engine stalling FX had to be used a few times tonight, but it was there to enhance the experience by a large degree!

New to the channel ... But just trying to work out how are the lap times worked out please? I was timing cars at just over 27 secs but they were given times of 16.3?? Is the action slowed down for us? Plus if the second finisher car's time was quicker in their first or second heat, why were times only counted on their last chance run? Little confused... great stuff though, loving the action.

The video is slowed down to 50% speed. You have to be 1st to qualify or get a good qualifying time in the last chance race

If you wanna be super technical the start gate shot is 80% speed. The chase came is 50% speed
