First one looks like a Pegaso. The Transit Van was in good shape. Odd break in the Mazda. Nice little Elan, with the screen brace... The classic Toyota Land Cruisers look great in beige or pale blue, with a white roof. Nice comparison exercise on the Capris, Martin. That box trailer is a Corgi, I think - I have one attached to a Corgi FC Jeep! Nice Cement trailer in that Volvo box, and the crane mechanism on the Lone Star would rob nicely for a Code3. I like the idea of the large format stuff for sale - I'll have a look at what I have knocking about, maybe pack some up and carry them home. It'll be nice and comfortable to return the Marina and Conveyor favours, Martin! I'll have some stuff, I'm sure, beyond my collection scale. You are spot on with Luke's restos - that Volvo P1800 is a peach! And his donated Land Rover should come up well! The packets of bits are great for that scale - almost makes me want to downscale! I love a load of dressing toot! Great and entertaining video!

Another good haul there Martin, the green trailer is a Britains and the red trailer body is I think off a dinky tipping trailer, the same as the one I did to go behind the Leyland tractor that Peter sent me. Great idea to do your Mancave models, I reckon that should go well👍😊Enjoyed the video, take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸

Hello Martin I have just watched your latest video i think your man cave models idea is a good one. May I suggest you could also do one off commission's were people could send you photos of there vehicles which you could then replicate in miniature .Also with regards to the large red transporter would a cheap airline model plane not fit hope you and your family are all well and I will look forward to your next project.

Hi mate that sounds like a great idea to get some money back from some of the unwanted cars in your job lot purchases and parts of your collection you might not want anymore. Maybe you can take requests and restore a diecast version of someone's car they had when they were young and sell it to them. I certainly wold love looking at the new channel and what you have for sale. I hope it go's well and you achieve a bit of money coming in to help fund your hobby that not only you get a lot of fun and sense of achievement out of but we viewers enjoy so much too. 👍🏻

Great video Martin, that JPS Set is a great find, as is the Matchbox KingSize Scania T142M truck with low loader trailer. I think it came with a Muir Hill 4 wheel drive tractor with a back actor. I'm sure my eldest son had one. The Corgi Turbine truck you showed us is called Qualitoy. I'm sure Crapaud Nick has done a restoration video on one a couple of years ago. That Tanker trailer in the Volvo box looks brilliant. You've got some nice donations there too, looking forward to seeing you restore them. The Man Cave Models could be a very good idea, especially the oil and petrol cans which are very popular on eBay and Marketplace. Hope that venture goes well for you. Take care and all the best. Peter.

2:15 Pegaso Truck... This brand no longer exists in Spain, it was called Pegaso, it mainly manufactured trucks, it also dedicated some cars, very similar to the old Aston Martin, but the main market was trucks, similar to what the Scania brand would be today.

2:20 when from Spain it's most lilkely a Pegaso. Maybe someone knows the exact type and such. 4:00 not sure if I'd use a Lotus Elite as a tow car in real life... but those two together look properly fast. :) 7:20 zinc rot, I'm afraid. it happens when the alloy has too much lead in it (and probably when the alloy isn't thoroughly mixed before injecting, after putting up a new batch, maybe? I have seen models rot away that shouldn't.). if anything more breaks off while handling I'd not bother with it anymore, as it most likely will crumble away. :( 12:14 Ss Models from china. they cater to a handful of other brands, I think including DelPrado. nicely detailed in my opinion. :) (those little grills in the front were for the signal horns. the grille got eventually omitted.) 16:14 nice Capri by Dinky. the next one looks like DetailCars. when the moulds were used by Revell, they added the side grilles as a separate piece and put the after-1972 taillights on the back. then the moulds moved to Solido, which made that grille an even klunkier piece... and added the late sports steel wheels in chrome. all other mistakes were still uncorrected (the "Barock-Taunus" P2 still has the wrong dashboard, for example), which is how I can thell they are the same, only modified. XD

Hello, good evening :) how are you? I was watching the video, "Dinky toys Jaguar xk120 no/157 Restoration with wheel swap 1954/1962." (a very good restoration video). I would like to ask if you can make a video showing how to remove and place the wheel, but focused on the axle that holds it, I am acquiring some models to restore in the future but I am not very clear once I have removed the "ball" that holds the wheels. I saw many videos but never see this part be finish in details. Unfortunately I still have 0 experience doing this, I still not opened any, with your experience How can I leave the axle similar to the original again when I take it... I have some models that do not need restoration but unfortunately they have the axle bent/crooked...(Some model have a good condition) I'm wondering if would be convenient to open it or leave it in the original condition... I also have some (example Lesney) models that have a kind of white rust inside the trunk, like sand( very thin, I'm sure it's white oxide) ... What would you recommend? Could it contaminate a new pieces? Because I have some boxes full of various models, old and news together, most of them 1/64... varying a little when they are Majorettes, which are a little big, but I was thinking that the pieces 50, 60 years olds with ("very thin sand") could contaminate the new ones.... I'm thinking of cleaning them with olive oil, since with soap and water probaly I will appear oxide, again in a long time...sorry for my English, Thank you (I have been thinking about cleaning with WD40 but I think olive oil is less harmful to older pieces that are over 60 years old.)
@martindaredare4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your query. I will do a video on the subject ,I think I covered this in my biggners guide check my play list ,but I will do a more in depth one . The bent axle on the ones you don't want to open can be done by removing the hub and taking the axle out straighten it out and then put it back . The powder stuff is corrosion but it's not catching, but I would separate them anyway te good from the bad ,so you know where you are with them. All the best Martin

Love the funding idea, Martin! (If I ever get the funds, I would, without hesitating, cover your funding. Your videos both entertain me and put me at ease. Thank you for that. 🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️) Re suggestions for resale - among the subs I have NASCAR seems to be big. (Not for me - F1 for Life.) But you might find willing buyers along those lines. And the loose casts aren't terribly expensive.
