Glad you like the corvette. The guy at the antique mall had about 5 various models all similar in that they are high end, in cool boxes but have stickers some of which were placed in bad position.

Really like that Porshe set as well. Waiting on them to show up here to grab me a set minus 1 more than likely. Lol!! The AW Gulf Vette might be tough to get if Round2 is not able to get that set back on the pegs. Just needing that UR as well to complete the set. Great video as always. Happy New Year🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

The ideal way to install a car on a base is with a "key" as opposed to a screw. Some 1/87 cars I have do it that way, you just turn the key and take it off and then align the key to the notch in the chassis when you're putting it back. I don't know why more diecast companies don't do it that way.

I finally made it to Walmart at 6am a couple weeks ago and they had the entire Porsche set there in multiples. I only bought the orange 911 because thats the only one i liked😅 now thinking back on it that red caimen is kinda sweet.. I guess thats how it goes lol

With regards to GCD models, I recently got the Toyota Previa model and it's quite nice. Very detailed. No broken parts on mine but the steerable wheels on mine makes it a poor roller. Not a fan of the gimmick.

About Walmart taking Auto World of the shelves is because there was a recall on Auto World. I happened to be on the aisle here in a California Walmart and two employee women were telling each other that they need to remove all the Auto World cars. I asked them why and one said there has been a recall. I followed up with if they knew what the recall was for and they said no. The system doesn't show why there's a recall. It was probably some choking hazard or something.

I don’t think it had anything to do with a choking hazard…. They are castings that have all been on the shelf before. There must have been something weird with the incensing or some packaging issue.

The porsche set at one of my local walmart either had a lot of boxes of them or some weird error thing but there was just cars 3&4 but like 20 or so of each

My fave is probably the 1971 911 in the HW Porsche set. And I like the 356 as well. The wheels on these two look great!! I would have preferred rubber wheels. But I guess you can’t expect that in these semi premium sets. The red 718 looks great too. I am though pleasantly surprised that some of them have metal base. And I understand that the Hot Wagons set have metal base too? I can’t quite figure out where I want to slot these two set of Hot Wagons and Porsche, due to the mix of both metal and plastic base and the plastic wheels. But nevertheless two good looking sets. I’m probably going to buy these set (or at least the ones with metal bases) online. I don’t think we see them here in Denmark

I only have one GCD model, a transporter. Lots of very intricate moving parts. After 2 years spent in storage, almost none of the moving parts work anymore. I don’t know if it’s rust or something else entirely, but considering the price I paid for it, it’s very disappointing. Haven’t bought any GDC model since. I love that Porsche set. Very nicely done. And that Le Mans Corvette looked great.

@Championdjk i can tell you that i have a TLV datsun 510 that has developed some severe paint rash after just 3 years. 2 resin models that are falling apart, but other than these, most of my collection seems to be doing ok, even in the extremely humid and hot climate of Central Vietnam.

I had the same issue with my GCD 4runner, spoke to the owner and he confirmed its a result of manufacturing issue :\, hope its not the same for my olive green one coming!

I wonder if GCD changed their packaging? The ones I have are all orange and the biggest issue is that the box window is very small limiting your view of the car while in packaging.

This one is a diecast talk exclusive which is why it is packaged differently. I think all the regular GCD models have that same orange packaging

@@Championdjk ah got it. I do know none of the models I got were screwed to the base. I also have 2 high end multi moving parts Gulf transport vehicles from them that are quite nice and detailed though feel fragile for such heavy weight items.

The Porsche series is a 6 car set, the Hot Wagons series is a 5 car set. If it's 10 car per case, that could be the issue. 🤷‍♂️

Probably a sign of things to come, with Japan set coming out next. A.K.A: Get used to paying scalper prices to finish a set. I don't believe it's an "accident ", but who knows for sure.
