If WC 2010 have VAR Uruguary may go final. Netherland 1-0 fouled before long shot. 2-1 Offside Van Persie involve way of ball and Keeper. 3-1 if you life never see Robben score with header you can see this match. Very unfortunate for Uruguary.

I was 10 when I saw him in the 2010 world cup. I have to say, this guy made me love Uruguay even though I'm American and my parents are Ivorian. He's probably the best shooter I've ever watched in my life. This guy is truly a legend. Criminally underrated. I'll never forget you Diego.

Same here! 2010 World Cup was my first ever world cup watching when I was like 8, and I asked my dad who that guy with the long blonde hair was after he scored a banger, and he told me he was Diego Forlán, and I'll never forget that name I'm also American with Mexican Parents, but I'll always support Uruguay in any competition because of Forlán. My dad one day went to Mexico and I begged him to buy me a Uruguay jersey with his name and number on it and he did, he said it was so hard to find it and expensive but to this day it's the best gift I've ever gotten. I love Messi and Suarez and even Neymar, but Forlán will always be my personal favorite and my introduction to Futbol

Same here bro, I was supporting the Brazilian squad (and sadly was very bad on 2010 WC), but DForlan definitely gave me lot of joy. Watched all Uruguay matches and he was absolutely fantastic! There was no one like him. Because of his great WC performance, also bought his shirt and dreamed to be a player like him.

I’m a Real Madrid fan. I started watching La Liga and, as far as I’m concerned, Diego Forlan was on par with CR7 and Messi, as well as any of the world’s top players. He was the master of shot placement. He scored many spectacular goals from distance.

@@Mercy384 Not exactly. Diego is currently 43 years old. Back when he was playing with Atletico, he would still be pretty much in his prime. CR7 was entering his prime, Messi a youngster was already amazing.

Forlan deserves much more credit for what he has done, another underrated player is Dirk Kuyt because the match would be over and Dirk would still be running all over the pitch.

Kuyt was a phenomenal player. Guys like him often don't get enough credit because they don't look elegant. Not that he didn't have decent technique, but didn't move very gracefully and didn't leave the impression of a player who plays naturally, he looked a bit awkward (kinda like Mandzukic). However, many players have this problem and often it's because of how they're built, not because they don't move fluently...they just look a bit "weird". That being said, Kuyt was a tremendous player who perhaps didn't score THAT much, but he often scored important goals and the pressure he put on the defence was massive. Again, comparable to Mandzukic in that way. Always loved watching Kuyt play, the guy always gave his best on the pitch. Another underrated forward is Huntelaar, too bad he didn't find a team in which could play for 10 years or so to leave a legacy, too many transfers.

Honestamente, se o Brasil jogar uma final de Copa do Mundo com outro país sul-americano, prefiro que o Brasil perca para que um dia possamos alcançá-los em títulos mundiais. Forlan was a goddamn cheat code in fifa 11-12 . Best long shot in the game with a 5 star weak foot. You could launch 35+ yard lasers with him from almost anywhere on the field with very little room to work with. I usually played as Uruguay and having Forlan+Suarez+Cavani up front was overpowered as hell in those years.
