Great idea and work on the box, unfortunately I question the intake inside the box for the heat output. It’s very common for CDH to have issues, leaks failures and fuel leaking out the combustion intake. Which you have all inside the box sucking air for the heat output. I would highly suggest an additional external air intake for the heated air input. As well having the exhaust output the box on one side and air intake just around the corner is scary set up. Slight breeze and exhaust is going to be sucked up into the heater and blown into the sleeping area.

nice set-up! , great way to keep it out of your space , & still get the benefit.

Foam door insulation triple layered between the pump mount and packout wall will kill the ticking from the pump. Worked wonders on my build in a condition1 case.

Reference video on my page if you wanna see how it looks. The ticking that you do hear in the video is when the case is open.

I believe your fuel pump is upside down. The "out" should be pointed up or somewhat up.

i would recommend changing the green fuel hose for the the Wight stuff the green can quickly degrade

I've seen that, might have to give it a try.

Sweet setup! What transformer are you using. I’m having a hard time finding one with terminals like that.

nice job, how much run time on a 30ah?

what did you use for the exhaust flange ? Did yours come with a muffler or is it not required ?

Nice an pack out I'd nice but the most expensive case I'd use the cheapest but cool

Would it be more efficient if you ran the air intake from your tent with another hose? That way you aren’t heating cold air from outside?
@restoreexplore11564 ай бұрын
Probably you are right, would be a good idea if its in a garage or shop. I'm OK without extra hoses when camping, seems to work fine.

Hi, Have about 240 litres of diesel and 40 litres of parafin/kerosene. Wondering can I mix them before hand and use it the heater?
@restoreexplore11564 ай бұрын
Most things can run on kerosene. I don't know what unit you have, but from what I've seen these heaters aren't picky about fuel types. You wouldn't even have to mix, it will run off kerosene or diesel.

Any problems with intaking exhaust gasses?

Not yet! No exhaust leaks, and I've run a CO monitor on the heating output duct with no readings.

Any issues with water getting in the vents ?

Nope, not a big deal if some does. If there is snow on the ground best to keep the box up above the snow too.

Webasto doesn't recommend an install on the side like that but I dunno abkut Vevor
@callmesomething14254 ай бұрын
Webasto doesn't recommend you have a savings after you buy one from them, I'm not listening to anything they say. I have an unbranded one and a vevor branded one both are mounted like this and one has well over 100 hours of run time and the other is getting close to 50 hours. They will be fine as long as the fuel pump is in the correct position everything will be OK.

Noted, not alot of room with this unit and this case to do any other orientation. I'll see if it dies!

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bq5xe6hq1tPWln0.htmlsi=d45NgwfR6GtLuRko This is a great video on explaining how a diesel heater fueling system works and when you are able to turn it on its side. I believe in this case you are able to run it like this no problem.

1. heater 2. Box 3. A ton of electrical components 4. Creativity That's all. Just find you a box that will fit everything you want it to have inside. I have one that is close to this (without thr charger) and one that's just in a box with enough room to store the hose. It's all down to what you have available and what creative way you arrange them.
