This lady and gentleman is why Schindler is my favorite elevator

These elevators are absolutely wonderful and this hotel is such an amazing one and big as well!! And interesting that this hotel in the USA has floors -1, -2, and -3, below the ground and negative floors are more common in non-English speaking countries in Europe!! I also love how these elevators in order to call them and go to the floor you want, you just select a floor destination on the keypad outside the elevators and one of them will be called by the blinking light on the letter of which elevator to go from and it chimes and talks as well just so you don't have to press the button twice to call and send to a floor!! It also talks to the floor number the elevator arrives and it reminds me of a Schindler 400A Traction elevator!!

I really like these destination dispatch elevators. Very cool.

So far, I have not seen any of these Miconic 10s, PORT, or Destination Dispatch anywhere where I live. I do love how far along elevator technology is coming along. Look at Thyssenkrupp's TWIN system (they use destination dispatch to coordinate those) 2 elevators in 1 shaft on those. And also Thyssenkrupp's upcoming MULTI technology. If those ones do make it into actual buildings I would LOVE to see one of those filmed as well as the reaction of people when the elevator actually goes SIDEWAYS. Keep up the good work!

The Marriott Marquis in New York City has these elevators, but they're glass elevators that look out into an atrium as tall as the hotel.

Floor numbers -1, -2, -3 are very common in non-English Europe than in America. However, JW Mariott in Washington DC has -1, -2 and -3.

Wow, i have never heard an elevator do that before. I have heard of that technology it is for blind people so we can find the right car and not get confused in a large elevator bank. I wish all elevators did that in large elevator banks but oh well. Guess i will have to go elevator chasing lol.

14 has the concierge lounge (which is why that staircase goes down from 15 - those are the two concierge/Marriott Elite levels). I ate them out of hors d'oeuvres last time I was there haha. Told ya they were a little slow! =)

When I was in New Orleans, the voice announced the car name only once when I was using it. when pressing the key to the left of 0, it said main floor. I think it was the lobby, even though I just pressed 1.

2 - 15 is Guesting Rooms 1 is Pool Health Club L is Lobby - 1 is Penn Ave Restaurant - 2 is Meeting rooms and Business center - 3 is Ballrooms

That actually seems like a really cool system. Haven't come across any like that before.

How much time it stays in handicap mode after you put it?

The first version in Times Square has a secret floor and that’s level 55 to activate level 55 is you have to go to floor three first then you can type on level 55 on the keypad level 55 is the very last floor within the hotel or Marriott in Times Square

Why you get out in lift 4

Typing any other phone number that’s above 55 will just give you double ?? for a split second that means that the floor number is not understood meaning that that floor is out of reach from standard hotel guests, or that the floor is not built at all
