Dieter German Shorthaired Pointer pointing at fly in the house.

That reminds me of my childhood dog. He was a GSP named brownie. Such a loving and caring dog. I will forever miss him.

It never gets old, watching them point. My GSP/Pitt mix points at everything in the yard. Adorable puppy you have there!

Bought a GSP from Mr. Gallo in July and am very happy with his work and how great of dogs Double G produced for me. Only 5 months old and he is out retrieving dove for me. Couldn't be happier

Ours is 4 and he's still pointing at flies. Lol dork. Admittedly he does get a few of them. Gotta love gsp's

They are incredible dogs and probably the best dogs for children and can live as long as 19 years

BEAUTIFUL!! Ours point butterflies, dragonflies, birds, and anything they think might pounce, run, or fly! It's hard to believe that a breed SO active, can actually have an attention span that long.......but they do!! AMAZING! Yours looks similar to my male in patterning! Now that he is 2 years older, how big is he? My female is 48, my male is 66. They are 9 months old, and m/f litter-mates. I have pics of my GSP's on my channel. I never get tired of surfing for cute GSP's! :)!

a buddy of mine has a german longhair, and we were sitting there, he was reading a magazine that had a picture of a pheasant on it. the damned dog was pointing at the magazine cover!

Beautiful Color and markings. I want one that looks like this. I have a Red Rust European Doberman and he needs a buddy. Hopefully in the near future. Beautiful dog.

I love GSP's.... But if you've ever met a Small Munsterlander, you may come to love them even more. SM's are even more perfect IMO.

I had a large Munsterlandwer, and he was a great dog.. he never took his eyes off of me wherever I walked.. and then I had a GSP that we had to put down in February, another great dog

Do you live in an apt or home with a yard? How is the dog daily? I have a german shepard (10) and looking for a companion and really enjoy the overall diversity of the breed.

+Adam Esposito amazing breed. I've lived in both apartments and homes, and as long as you keep them properly exercised, either will work. They need socializing and exercise on a daily basis. VERY good with other dogs. Go for it!

+Kyle Williams I am German, and Dieter DOES NOT stand for "Army of the People" in German. I don't know who told you that, lol. It's just a regular German male first name that was popular like 50 years ago. Nobody gives his kids the name Dieter nowadays anymore, it's like a name like "Ethelbert" in English, nobody gives this name to his child nowadays. But your dog is so awesome! Great breed!
