It is huge work and costs lots of money and in today's high tech world , it should not be reqd. 2. Till then , local income Tax (IT) offices be authorised and equipped to accept ITR V and give receipts to tax payers. 3.Ordinary post be also allowed to dispatch ITR V as has been the practice till last year. 4. Why this year Speed Post only has been the option to dispatch ITR V? Speed post is about 5 times costlier that ordinary post. 5. Possibilities to open local centres during June and July be explored by govts/ IT dept to accept ITR V etc against receipts 6. Post office may be given some subsidy to accept ITR V at nominal cost against giving acknowledgement for record of Tax payers. 7. On line status of receipt of ITR V by IT dept be fast. It is not updated frequently, causing anxiety to tax payers. 8.Refunds be issued maximum in 30 days of receipt of ITR etc by IT dept. 8.For late refunds, interest at FD rates be paid by income tax dept. 9. Suggestions from people be invited for more improvements. 10.Practices of developed countries be adopted to the extent possible. 11. Form 26As and TIS/AIS be merged into one document. Presently entries of TIS cause confusion and are sometimes misleading. 12. Thd time of receip of ITR V by IT dept may be extended to 60 days.'"
