In the western system, people think that rising is the “face you show the world” & moon is your inner feelings, but that has never quite felt correct actually. What you say here fits perfectly. My ascendant is Shravana, and I’m always (even right now when almost sleeping) wearing earbuds and listening and learning all sorts of things. Earlier this morning I listened to a 3 hour presentation about all the stuff the planet has gone through - ice age, different species etc and the whole time I was correlating the words with Sanskrit and Latin words to see the mythological connections. Did you know there was a prehistoric creature that “ruled” the planet that has a name starting with “Endric…” I immediately thought of Jyestha/Indra because the story of this Endric was also aligned. Now who knows where/how I will use any of this info?! Maybe one day I’ll write a consolidated thesis of everything…more likely I’ll just keep learning different things. Then I listened to a 2 hour class on Bitcoin and all this while doing housework and driving my kids to school and back. Sometimes if I have something to say or a book to review, then I’ll record while driving or while charging my car. I do have 3 grahas in Ashwini. Beautiful wisdom. Being new to jyotisha, I initially confused the janma with the lagna. My lagna is Ardra and my janma is Chitra. So, I was reading about these nakshatras in Komilla Sutton's "The Essential of Vedic Astrology". I was reading the description of the Ardra nakshatra...it interested me very much that Rudraji is the ruling deity and that Rahu is the ruling planet. On a path to self-actualization and discovery, Shivaji called to me and along the way through the 10 Great Wisdoms, I found Rahu/Ketu, but felt a very strong affinity to Rahu. Reflecting on my life and what I truly am seeking, I felt so much affinity to what was described about Ardra nakshatra and I felt that it matched my mindset so well. But, upon realizing that my janma was actually Chitra, I read that description and could immediately see that Chitra describes better how the world knows me and Ardra described better what I have been seeking in life at my inner most core. Thank you for pointing out the differences!

Finally this answered my question. I had started feeling that probably nakshtra had nothing to do with the personality... and hence started to ignore them. I have Purva Phalguni nakshtra and I do not have any matching characters of that nakshtra... I always got confused about this. But after hearing you today I can relate to it... I am always having some artist or artistic things around me. I encounter them even in solo travels. Even I visit any fort the guide tells more about the art or craft of the building or the story of some artist of the times rather than stories of wars and courage... And it's never intentional. And yes I do appreciate art but never an artist myself. Am just one keen person in audiance And my lagn is dhanishta of Aquarius sign... I had hardly given a thought about it... But now I know I relate myself with dhanishta so much. Thank you sir, This makes some sense to me now...
