Plot: Shikhandini shows up on the battlefield, upon which Bhishma Pitamaha gives up his weapons. Arjuna shoots a bunch of arrows through Bhishma. The Pandavas get heartbroken upon seeing Bhishma lay on the bed of arrows and approach him for his blessings.
Krishna Gyan Translation:
This is not Attachment, Pitamaha. This is Love. Attachment ties up other people, and Love, Love ties up oneself with the other. Even the ascetics have the right to Love. Your entire life, you have suffered the pain of bondage. Now by staying alive, you have the opportunity to experience the enjoyment of Liberation.
