Hi electrical dost The information you provide is quite good 👍 But here as you said that contractor is used for continuous duty but here sometimes we have to use it for frequent on/off also as per requirement. Like if you have a gear system for machine then for it we have to frequently on/off the contactors because the heavy machine has heavy current requirements so in place of relay contactors are used. So you can say that" generally " not as thumb rule.
