Cs =Software+hardware IT=Only software But according to India They both are same As there are not as much hardware companies in india So placement are same

Microprocessors and microcontrollers, computer networking can be common. Operating systems can be common if colleges include that for EC. Other than that, Electrical networks and programming is common to all. Databases can be an elective subject to EC (taught only if teacher is available and majority chooses it)..
