Brother I am from Church of North India. As you now that CNI is mainline Protestant Church. But CNI faith is Catholic. And even our priest also tell us that CNI is part of one true Apostolic Catholic Church of Jesus Christ which dates back to the time of Apostles. We can learn many things from the doctrine of CNI and CSI church. We all are united in Christ. And we Christians have to consider our self apostolic Catholic.

Authorities of the pope is from scripture from Mathew chapter 16 and if you read from verses 16 and if you read verses 18 And I tell you , you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hades Will not prevail against it. And if you read John chapter 15 and you read 15 verses from that the authority given to the pope . Catholic faith is from the scripture it is not taken outside the scripture.
