Many thanks, I've been looking for "quail bird" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Eeyila Rudimentary Expediency - (search on google ) ? It is a great one off guide for discovering how to raise healthy and fertile quail minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my friend got great results with it.

Fish Man ROLY they are 12” high. Anything over 14” and they can get up enough force to break their necks if they get scared and jump.

@@shahzaibqasim5685 Its hard to say for sure. but my best guess would be 4 or 5. if you make sure to only breed the largest ones together and cull the smaller ones.

A lot of time you can find people with chicks for sale on Craigslist. Or you can order hatching eggs online and hatch them out your self. The only problem with buying chicks is they are to young to sex. The best option it to find someone with 8 week old or old for sale. That way you know what you are getting. But that’s also going to be the most expensive way. Also you can look for Facebook groups for your area that have to do with farming or homesteading. And ask on there most of the time someone will know where you can pick some up locally. I hope this helps.

DJ Danger they need 14 hours of light to produce eggs. So in the winter I add lights so they keep laying eggs. If you don't they will slow down and or stop laying until the days start to get longer.

I can't impress my friends enough. Quails and other birds are incubated at 100deg F. When taken off incubator and set at room temp of 70degF, they die of hypothermia, they need to be at 95 deg, gradually reduce to room temp about 5 deg less every week.Careful using cool non filament lights your birds will freeze to death. 100 watt filament bulb at 16" and raise when too hot. For larger flock say 100 or more a 250 watt will be adequate. Don't forget the water with a half teaspoon of salt per gallon.

Jay jankunas not the hens don’t crow. But they do make some little chirping sounds that aren’t very loud. My cages are only about 15 feet from my living room and I can’t even hear the roosters crowing. And the older the Roos get the less they crow. When they first get to maturity they crow a lot. Kind like teenager boys. But as they get older they really calm down. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask anymore questions you might have.

El SantRey quail have a slightly richer flavor than store bought chicken eggs. But if you are use to eating fresh chicken eggs from free range birds. Then most people can’t tell the difference.

Actually we think our chicken eggs are tastier than our quail eggs and with more orange yolk
