My friend works in a pup and she said they use tomato ketchup to clean brass, it’s the vinegar in it. Thank you for the advice, super helpful. I’m a beginner with pole and looking to buy one for home. I’ve done aerial for a long time but very difficult to buy to practice at home, so super excited to get a pole eventually.

Hi Eileen, try getting/finding yourself a tub MR Buff cutting compound ( in a green tub/container) by SEPTONE for your brass pole, this is what is now used by most schools for their brass poles, don't use a product called Brasso ok !

I have tried the powdered coated poles and they are extremely slippery if you live in a cold dry climate and have dry skin. I think I'm going to try the brass one. Any suggestions? Thanks for the info.

Yeah I think brass is a very nice option, it’s super grippy. Stainless steel is also a very nice option 😉

Hi Eileen! Thank you for this informative video. Do you think you'd be able to pole with clothes on a powder-coated pole?

Hey @tomookay! Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏽 I don’t think you would be able to, I believe you can only use clothes with silicon poles.

Hi I recently got an xpole . I am a beginner.. I got stainless steel and I feel like it’s harder for me to grip than the pole I use at classes . What do you suggest ?
@EileenMeyerBarbarach
@EileenMeyerBarbarach 11 ай бұрын
Hey! Maybe at your studio they use chrome poles. You can try buying an extra pole set with chrome material if that’s the one you like. If not, brass material is also a good choice if you’re looking for a better grip. Hope it helps and let me know if you have further questions

@@EileenMeyerBarbarach thank you! Also were you a beginner when you started using the stainless steel from xpole? Or a little more advanced
@EileenMeyerBarbarach
@EileenMeyerBarbarach 11 ай бұрын
@@ambertaylor8113 my first pole was a Chinese version, so not X-Pole. It was 50mm thick and stainless steel. I only got an X-Pole for the first time when I bought the X-Stage Lite with a 45mm stainless steel pole and a 45mm silicon pole. Then I got another X-Pole 45mm brass. I’d say stainless steel is my favorite but every material has its pros and cons and everyone prefers different things depending on what they’re looking for.

Hey Hannah! I think brass will work fine where you are but if it’s the first pole you’re getting I would recommend you get the stainless steel. I have X-Pole and it’s really good!

Hi Eileen, Have you ever tried Lupit pole in their powder coat recently? I'm ready to make a big investment soon with a Lupit stage so I'm still confused about different options on powder coat for poles...I do have clammy/sweaty hands and feet even with good grip products, I want to feel safer as I live in a hot humid environment ! and need to make a right choice for my Lupit order being only Crome/stainless or the powder...I will be using my stage for outdoor shows ( with sea/salty air) and unfortunately where I live there are no poles for sale and only one school using stainless that I tend to slip around on even with grip aids and air conditioning... to try out other materials is just not possible! I do like the reviews on Lupit stage and poles for the easier weight and installation management for traveling around with my stage ! Do you perhaps know anyone who is currently using Lupit Pole powder to chat with? There are practically no videos or reviews or news for this particular finish !! I truly appreciate any advice !! cheers

Hello Marie! Thanks so much for your comment. I haven't tried Lupit powder coat poles, only X-Pole, and I think it's a really nice option for you, it's not my preferred option but considering what you just explained I think it would be good for you. I would recommend though using Itac on your skin when training in stainless steel poles as it'll give you a much better grip if you feel like you're sliding too much, also use liquid magnesium on your hands (I use Mammut). Stages are a great option to be able to travel around with your pole and assemble it wherever you want, I haven't tried Lupit Pole Stages but I have tried Lupit fixed poles and they're also very nice (I do prefer X-Pole but that's a personal decision so choose whichever you feel more comfortable using). I know Marion Crampe and Phoenix Kazree use Lupit Pole but in stainless steel, not in powder coat but maybe ask them if they've tried it as they partnered with Lupit Pole. Marie Moulin uses powder coat but I don't know the brand of her pole, maybe you can ask her as well. Maybe you should consider a brass pole, I think that would work very well for you. Let me know if you are able to contact these athletes and if they help you and please feel free to ask any further questions. Hope you can buy what's best for you and feel happy with your decision and investment. Have a great day!
