It's likely they're playing on the Switch and gave up. I found that if you stay in spawn, even if you move, you're still flagged and punished. So by using the Pro controller and a rubber band, you could AFK without punishment.

I'm always a sacrificer in endgame. I'm goodra main so often there's no more than 1 defender in a team. It is a close range fighter with no dashing moves so I'll be always the last scorer while my mates scoring lane and return. And guess what, the whole opposing team just chasekill me and I can only hopelessly dragon pulse. 😵 But afterall, I got 100k+ damage taken 😝
