So regarding your theory about the barrier to protect them from the sun: Actually alot of us think that this mv shows of course flashbacks and current time, we can clearly see that by the clothes, alot of us think that sunoo and the others where of course scared of the sun cause it would burn them, then sunoo discovers a way to stay unaffected by the sun, in the scenes in the old house, and teaches that to the others. Now in the current time they are clearly happy in the sun since they haven't felt that in so long, and don't want the summer to leave them. Also there's a theory where ni-ki has a way of going thru time, in the last scene in fact he comes back with the old ball he left in the past and came back with it to the others since they lost the ball into the sea. Hope I wasn't too confusing lmfao I ain't good in explanations There's also a theory that I saw on tiktok that says that sunoo is the original vampire, meaning the one that turned them all, which I agree with. And he is using the others and their powers for example in this video there are shows heeseung's telekinesis, Jay's super stengh, ni-ki's time travel, to prepare for a war with the werewolves that we see in the drunk-dazed music video

This is set in the timeline after Given-Taken and before Drunk-Dazed, they are starting realize more power as they grow older in their vampire age. So now like with Heeseung using his psychic abilities, Sunoo discovers that eventually they can stay in the sun without being burned. This allows them to be normal students, though in Drunk-Dazed this is likely them being students many years later. Its not explicitly explained in this MV, but part of the story is in the Comeback Showcase. They are still vampires, but in some tales such as Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles, some vampires grow old and powerful enough that they can go in the sun without being burned, this plays off that concept and explains how they appear as more normal students in Drunk-Dazed. The bit with Niki at the end has a few interpretations, like maybe they just live in the woods, i dunno. . I think we will have to see what it really means later. Another thing is, since Sunoo is the one who infected/turned them into vampires (he's technically patient 0 if this is covid), he feels responsible for the sorrow they feel because they are not regular humans anymore. ISTG this lore is so much broader becoz the werewolf part of this Hybe Multiverse is coming with the debut group where Taki, K, EJ, Nicholas and Kyungmin are a part of. . They are currently holding a global auditions for 2-3 more members to join them. . So this vampire vs werewolf theme would really go all out becoz next year were going to get i-land for girls which is planned to have a witch themed debut after the finale (like dreamcatcher MVs) what in mothafckin vampire diaries is going on today?! This entertainment's creative directors are insane. . We have Kwangya from SM and now Magic Island from HYBE. .

For me, I make my assumptions off the wardrobe. Old style clothes have been in all the MVs with storyline so far, and signify them before becoming vampires and shortly after when their vampirism is new. So in the old clothes they can't go in the sun. Sunoo getting burned reaching for the brown ball, and Ni-Ki at the start not reaching for the ball as it was in the sun = new vampires who can't be in the sun. They all have some sort of abilities also seen in the MVs like telekinesis etc. It looked in Drunk-Dazed like Ni-Ki and Jungwon could teleport, but this MV shows Ni-Ki can also time travel (when they lose the white ball in modern times Ni-Ki reappears with the old timey brown ball and everyone is shocked). Jungwon could control fire in D-D and Heeseung seemed telepathic, and in this he seems telekinetic too. Maybe they all have the same range of abilities but we only get to see snippets in the MVs. At some point (the scene in the dark room) Sunoo figures out how not to burn in the sun and teaches the others (he's standing in full sun and they come out under the umbrellas before stepping out fully). Sunoo seems to take a leader role a lot too, in D-D he's the one messing with the blood fountain, targeted by the wolves. In this he's the one willing to burn to get the ball and the one who teaches the others how to stand in the sun. Some Engenes think he's the one who turned the others which makes sense, but I also have Sunghoon in mind for that role for other reasons. The clips with the school type uniforms and the two different striped rugby style uniforms are both modern day (the white beach outfits being the most modern time). Lyrically it makes sense that now they know how to be in sunlight they never want the summer to end. I think there's also big hints of alternate universes too (a lot of the other videos give that vibe with the carnival stuff and mentions of wormholes and portals to other worlds or whatever), and we all know HYBE loves a multiverse. But even with all of that I have no clue what's happening.
